Am after some extra fuel capacity without having to take out a bank loan to get an Acerbis tank have tried using fuel containers & strapping them here, there & everywhere, but would really prefer the fuel to be in the tank - where i...

Sadly due to the family and a new toy I am letting my TTR go. I have hung on to it for the last 10 months thinking I may get back to riding it more than once a month and then only on roads, but no so it has to go. Great runner was used for a daily 6.6 mile round commute until new toy arrived. MOT until July Some se...
My 2004 originals are knackered. At 60 mph they self fold inwards I've seen small diamond shaped ones, maybe on here, but so far 'searching' for them hasn't been successful. What I'm after is something with a slightly wider span than originals, but less affected by wind when on the road. Any ideas folk...
Staying with friends I came across this which has 1 owner and has been sat in a shed since March 2010. It needed a small amount of work for the MOT then I added some hand guards, bash plate and a good clean with a service. All works fine and I out and about riding it [URL=http://s55.photobucket.com/user/...
Picked up this TTR today. before even riding I made a few modifications. Just got it home Fitted a B&B bash plate Fitted Acerbis Rally II hand guards Fitted a pair of enduro mirrors

So my mate has a white TTR250 which is in need of some TLC. The sprag was slipping so we decided to strip her down to fix it up. When trying to remove the flywheel I noticed the crank bearing had play in it and the flywheel can move up and down a fraction. Once finally removed (pain in the ass) we can see that the...
Hi everyone, I know that this is a 250 forum but I can't think of anywhere else to advertise these. what I have is complete top end including head, barrell, cam and piston complete clutch basket and plates, complete gearbox, flywheel, stator, all casings and the old crank with seized bearing. these wh...
I was thinking about this the other day when looking at how some cars are taxed less than my 250cc motorcycle - why should we pay any VED at all? If you agree then sign the petition here and spread it around - http://epetitions.direct.gov.uk/petitions/36449 Brian
As the brake pedal support thread fitting has been torn out of the frame by previous owner I need to weld in a new 8mm threaded support. (I have that information thanks to a previous reply). What I would like to know is: Does the threaded support fit flush with the frame or protude a liitle. If it protudes b...
Hey guys, i'm writting from Greece and i'm really excited to join the forum! 1)I bought a '94 ttr 4 months ago which appears to need a pretty good maintenance to work properly but the biggest problem seems to be the front brakes The previous owner had installed a yamaha fazer front master cylinder which...
I thought I would share some pictures & vids with other owners from a recent trail ride. This is one of the easier trails but still has some technical sections to catch you out. The first time I rode this trail I was going too fast into a tight corner, that came up all of a sudden. I hit a BIG rock t...
I found the plastic gastank as the only solution for off road/enduro usage. I was lucky to get one from a SUZUKI DR350. It's cheap and it fit's easily with only a few and also cheap mod's. The result is better than you can imagine. Here you can also see my selfmade alu exhaust pipe and the wavy brake disk rot...
It's THAT time of year again for my TTR. Every year, in the UK, a vehicle has to be licenced (road fund) and if over 2 years 11 months and 30 days old it will need an MoT certificate. Together with insurance it all adds up! In order that my bike stands a reasonable chance of securing an MoT certi...
Hello all, I have got my bike jetted in and it runs great, but I can't help but to think of this tick. There is a slight tick audable from the motor at high RPM's, is this normal or should my valves be adjusted? I would make a video but i lost my transfer cord and i don't think the recorder would pick up the noise...
Hi guys! I'm from Santiago de Chile and I just got a TTR 250 2012. I'm just crazy about it, it's really awesome. Well I have a couple of questions: - The guy that sell it to me lost the Owners Manual, anybody knows a web site where I can find it? - Some lights are getting down: The break light (back of the bike) i...
Just found this forum which I am sure will be useful for tips and guidance formy 1993 TTR 250 Raid which I bought last September and finally managed to transport here to Idilevo in Bulgaria where I have a house. In the winter I come back to the UK and I live not far from Stratford-upon-Avon but summers are s...
I look forward to communicating with forum members. I have a 2009 TT250R that looks more like 20 years old than just 4 as it came from an outback farm where it was a true workhorse but not loved. I will resurect it with your help.
Does anyone have a broken speedo that could be stripped for parts?? Mine works but does not have the parts that sit between the A/B buttons to make contact with the circuit board. Many thanks STuart 07973 796340
Hi everyone! I am a fan of ttr 250 and is nice to find this forum and join you! I am riding a ttr 250 raid which looked like this at first: and now is transformed to a more "adventure" style: The extra parts come from a KTM 640 adventure. Here are some photos of a recent ride on mountain Chortiatis l...
