STICKY:
Fitting an On/Off switch for lighting components
(Preview)
I thought I would upload an easy way to install an on/off switch for the head-light. The reason I have done this is because the Cobra websites way is absolute hogwash (in my books). It gets the blue wires the wrong way on the switch in the diagram given. Also they ''butcher'' the main wiring harness? Rat...

LED indicators - how to remove and replace original indicators with LED ones
(Preview)
Simply question, how do I completely remove the rear indicators on my bike (2004 TTR-250) I don't want to ruin any of the electrics so I have to be sure. I removed the brackets and the indicators are now dangling from the wire. What do I do next?

These specs are based on the lowest TTR250 specs and some models may have a rating than specified below. If your model specs are different to below refer to those specs for maximum Headlight/tail-light capacity. I would not recommend running more than two Tail-light bulbs: 12V 5W/21W (or the equ...

How low can you go? Lowering a TTR250

I had a request from a guy who is short in the leg (his description!) to try a lowered TTR. I fitted a lowering link, wound the rear shock spring off just a tad, reversed the handlebar clamps to allow the front forks to be dropped up through by 21.3mm, and fitted a sculpted lowered seat. This achieved a new s...

I thought I would share this simple air-box mod with other owners. I had previously tried (twice) to cut down the air duct/snorkel to gain performance. Both times I have had the same result. Anyone got a picture of an OE or Raid with a white frame?

My mission for this year is to sort the crusty frame on my OE, I'm going to powder coat but I'm slightly unusual in actually liking the purple rims/bars. I would need a fork length measurement

Hello Board Members, our 1999 TT-R250 has a WR250f fork mounted. That would help me to k...

Best way to make forks stiffer???
(Preview)
I am very pleased with my 02 street legal TTR250.....with one exception. The forks are way too soft. The front end dives when you touch the front brake. I was told to run 4psi and that is what I am running. Can I buy spacers to make the springs stiffer, or buy stiffer springs? Thanks!

Higher seat forthe TTR250
(Preview)
I've always wanted a higher seat on the TTR. Although the original seat is lower and easier to put a foot down in technical situations, I feel a bit cramped and then tend to cramp in the legs during and after long rides on the TTR250. This doesn't happen on modern bikes I also ride. Anyway new seat is on a...
