Think I'm right in saying No not if its acerbis tank you cant see Fuel level in the white tank even in the sun light even in midsummer in the sun uk. But it should have two fuel taps one each side with reserve on each There is an US tank maker of long range fuel tanks think it's clark an they put a clear window in the tanks any colour so you can see it

Thanks man. It seems to confirm what a web search found. Our currency has tanked and I think buying now is a good idea. I really want a natural one though...
I will hopefully receive it tomorrow. I asked the seller to check the capacity with water and he recons 18l. That will be a 4.7 gallon tank then. The only other confirmed is that it says XR600/650L.
Has anyone had any experience with an acerbis tank cracking? I'm not talking about in an unintentional dismount, I mean with age or something.
I got a 2nd hand xr acerbis tank and fitted it with the adapters from totally ttr. After a few weeks (not riding it much, need to use other bike for work) I noticed a strong fuel smell, then noticed pink residue on thee tank. I took the tank off and there are tiny cracks all over the part where the tank meets the frame where fuel leaks out. I can't find any mention of this sort of thing with a Google search.
Any ideas?
Just seen some photos of XR250 tanks fitted - see below.
Would need some front support brackets making. Fits well to seat apparently. Only issue mentioned is that the XR fuel tap may hit the throttle on the carb.
Hello. I have A 2002 Ttr250 in the USA. My tank has cracked so I ordered an Acerbis xr650 22l tank and I am looking for tank mounting brackets. The website here is out of stock and I’ve received no reply from the email I sent on the contact page. Does anyone know of a USA supplier of brackets or where I can buy drawings to cut my own?
It went very easy. I ordered from eBay Acerbis 5.8 gallon tank for Honda XR650L 93-96 and made my own brackets from some sheet aluminum I had. Turned out great and easier than I expected.
Thanks for that. I found a xr650l tank on Amazon US which had different numbers to the euro sites but have since seen pics of the packaging with both sets of numbers. So hoping problem solved. In the meantime I tried repairing the crack in my old tank with dynagrip putty. Pretty ugly but hoping with some stickers I can cover it up for the Roadworthy certificate I need to get until I get the new tank. Another question, does the tank make it harder to get to the ignition?
I have an open enduro ttr 250 which needs the fuel tank to be replaced. No fuel tank available and I was wondering if it could fit a honda xr 250 1994 fuel tank that I have found and which are the modifications needed. Or any othe option but not a plastic fuel tank. Thank you in advance.

I've just recieved my tank fittings from Totally ttrs and picking up an Acerbis xr250/400 tank this week. Apparently, or so I've been told, the only differences between the the xr 250/400, 600 and 650l acerbis tanks are the fittings that come with them. Check out Totally TTRs website, has a YouTube vid and other instructions

Good to know, some pictures when fitted would be appreciated
Hi all, tank fitted today using Totally ttr kit. Thanks Steve. Took 2 of us a couple of hours. We found it easier to loosely bolt the strap for the rear of the tank to the frame first then spin it out of the way then install the tank. Otherwise, just followed Steve's instructions on the vid and voila. Only moment of panic was a few minutes after starting it up, petrol started gushing out of the bottom of the carburettor. After a few choice words and some phone calls, a gentle tap with a hammer fixed it. Taken for a 30km ride and whilst I never had a chance to ride it much with the original tank as it split as soon as I got it home so can't compare the differences, it felt comfortable, not obtrusive. Like a lot of others have said, the indicators needed moving forward and up. Will eventually make a bracket but for the time being, we just took out one of the bolts and rotated them up. Only other thing to add, is that the mounting from Totally ttr stipulates the xr650l tank, but I bought the xr250/400 version. From what I can tell, they're all the same tanks but just come with different mounting kits from Acerbis. You can actually see the various model numbers on the different mounting holes on the tank. Thanks to everyone for their tips. Just need to book in my rwc (mot) Final point, I tried repairing the split in my original tank with Dynagrip, held for a couple of days but then we had one hot day and it just came off. Not flexible enough to handle tank expansion
Hi all. Is it possible to mount a tank bag with the acerbis tank? The angle of where the seat meets the tank makes me think no but hope to be proved wrong.
Cheers
