Blue (2004) TTR for sale (Derbyshire/South Yorkshire) - SOLD SOLD SOLD!

Sadly due to the family and a new toy I am letting my TTR go.    I have hung on to it for the last 10 months thinking I may get back to riding it more than once a month and then only on roads, but no so it has to go. cry

Great runner was used for a daily 6.6 mile round commute until new toy arrived.

MOT until July
Some service history

All original except:- Handle bar grips! and Speedo (If I can find the orginal then that goes with the bike).

I have fitter a Vapor Digital speedo and Rev counter  still has screen cover on it..

£1500 ono.

Almost new tyres, Chain set less than 1000 miles of easy road work.

That's a nice looking TTR, Chris.

It's a pity that other things are forcing the sale.
Look to the future and perhaps you will get another before too long.

I'm sure you'll get loads of punters.

Bike is Still for sale and will go on flea Bay when the weather improves, unless...

Open to offers.

And I'll put a video up of it starting from Cold, Warm and in the snow if it helps, with sound as that is propably just as important.

Surprised it hasn't sold Chris - nice bike at a very good price!

Good luck with eBay but it would be nice to sell it to a forumite wink

nice looking Bike.  Can you give me an idea of how much it would cost to convert for green lane work?  Any other indo would be really useful.

Cheers

Foxy, basic changes to make this TTR trailgreen lane suitable would be tyres and perhaps sprockets to suit your style.

Front Michelin Enduro Comp IV and rear Pirelli MT43 tyres total about £60 each

Chain & sprockets total about £100-140 depending on brand

BTW, welcome to the site. handshake.gif

Nothing but remove the wing mirrors.   However it will depend on what you are doing with it.

The Video shows a group of riders in the Peak district including another TTR250 with larger back sproket and Mt tyres.   He is an experienced road racer and fell many more time than me!   Climb out of Monsal Dale.

The surface here was wet rocks and very steep, not easy to see in the video, but watch the bike sliding down hill to get an idea.  The same type of tyres as currently fitted went up with no issues.   No one else made it.  During the whole day out I never got stuck in the mud!    So you pays your money and takes your choice.

My advice would be to ride the bike on the road a lot and get used to the way it handles before going off road.   The only difference in set-up I have made since is to put on a slightly larger rear spocket.    Once you are very confident on the road you will find it easy to just concentrate on the surface and not worry about bike control as much.   Might be why I did so well as I road the bike most days.

thanks Chris,

Made the 240 mile journey home with no problem and took it out today down the Alkham valley byways. Easily kept up with my friend's xr400 :)
