My second thread started in a day; something of a record for me! So, I got my TTR out of the garage after not being out for a couple of months, to prep it for its MoT. She started first time and all looked well until I checked the back brake - Nothing. The pedle pressed all the way down but no braking on the back...
Hi everyone, I'm a newby to the site and a newby to TTR's. My recently bought 2004 US import is missing a rear wheel spoke. My local dealer tells me spokes are only available from Yamaha as a wheel set. As all the other spokes fitted are in good condition I don't want to buy a whole set when I just need the...
Has anyone got a broken elcetronic clock as used on the TTR's. I'm really after the connector block itself so I can make a nice tidy connector for an after market electronic dash, should let me use the existing hall sensor on the sprocket. So I'd prefer just the connector but I'd take a whole unit
I know there is a debate as to should you cut out the airbox alltogether, drill holes in it or just modify the snorkel,I was out for a few hours in the mud and its amazing where it gets to,The mud and water has managed to get under the seat i'm glad I just modified the snorkel see pic.

Hi all, Does anyone have a spare set of open enduro or raid tank rubbers? I only have 1 on the RHS frame holder so the tank is a little wobbly Thanks Ian
Hi everyone, I've just bought my first TTR, a 93 white open enduro. First impressions are great, but after 5 miles the digital speedo stopped working and just reads even on the M4! The starter button also seems a bit hit & miss, at the petrol station it gave no response on the first 3 prods, then bur...
My seat is seriously slippery. When I'm two-up it's not long before the pillion has squashed my unmentionables into the tank. Does anyone know if a) There's a remedy product to make it more sticky? Or b) Someone males a cheap grippy seat cover for the TTR? I have an 05 UK model. Thanks all

Hi All, My TTR is rattling a lot more than I remember it doing at the end of last year. When riding at a reasonable pace (about 40mph) on a road (tarmac) and neither accelerating (under-load) nor decelerating (coasting) the top end has a distinct quite loud rattle that I don't recall it used to do. It's al...
Brian had been regretting doing nothing but toiling all day with TTRs everywhere so he decided to ask if anyone woull like to have a run out. I thought that it was some time since I was last out - so I volunteered to go with him. As did Bob, Rick, Trev and Simon. The Super Six. All but one of us were riding our TT...
I did a lot of searching and read a lot about uncorking the TTR250 with a lot of good information. The problem that I am running into are the specifics. I have a 1993-1994 TTR250 that I just got professionally painted black. It looks incredible! I'll post some pictures when I can. As I looked for all of th...

Hi, In order to grow old naturally I am in the process of putting a disc front brake onto my XT500 - the existing single leading shoe brake is painfully inadequate I got hold of a pair of forks from a wrecker (who shall remain nameless but not blameless He appears to have supplied either the wrong wheel and...
I'm fixing up my friend's 03 ttr 250 that has been stored outside for the last 3 years. The bike had previously ran good before being neglected, so he handed the bike over for a quick tune up and carb clean. When I disassembled the bike, I noticed a lot of dirt in the air boot along with some in the carb. ...
hi,have just bought a ttr250 today after finally deciding my mz660 is starting to look a bit sorry for it's self after using it on the trails, that and the fact it weighs a ton when i have to pick it up too. one small question of many i expect,is it normal for the tank to rust where it meets the side panels? ha...
Hi guys, new one checking in from Barcelona with a 2 days old (in my hands) TTR 250, actuality it's a 2002 model. Went for a ride to check the off road abilities and was quite impressed with the little bike. I'll be using it mainly to commute 15km everyday so the knobies have to go, any suggestions for a 50/5...
We ride the Egyptian deserts with my wife. I ride a KTM Rallye 660, and my wife rides the TTR250. It is a great bike, fitted with a 18L Acerbis tank and a free flow exh system. The carb has begun to act up and I have been searching info about swapping for a Keihin FCR 37 (that's how I ran into your forum here!). S...
Hi im looking at getting a polisport replacement for my light for a weight saving, does anyone know the weight of the standard blue light and plastic? the polisport one is 625g so i would like to know how much weight saving i would be getting for 100 dollars.
Nothing special about it... has a Pro-Circuit T4 pipe and I just put some aftermarket bars on it that are a little taller and less pullback. Just amazed at how much fun this bike is to ride. Much more fun than a 2005 KTM 450sx or '97 CR250! So easy to ride... and more than capable! [IMG]https://i17.photo...
Hi Everybody, My name is Charlie and I live in the Kansas City area. I bought my 2003 TTR250 back in late October. It's had a couple issues since I bought it, but I really like it alot. I paid $800.00 US. It's been a long time since I've ridden a motorcycle, but I had been wanting to get back into it for quite...

A quick and hopefully simple quetsion; I have seen plenty of choice of graphics sets availabile for the tank, mudgaurds etc. But I would like plain white stickers for above the headlight and side panels (i.e the number boards if it were a MX bike). What do you use for these? Thx, Nigel.
