Hi im looking at getting a polisport replacement for my light for a weight saving, does anyone know the weight of the standard blue light and plastic? the polisport one is 625g so i would like to know how much weight saving i would be getting for 100 dollars.
Nothing special about it... has a Pro-Circuit T4 pipe and I just put some aftermarket bars on it that are a little taller and less pullback. Just amazed at how much fun this bike is to ride. Much more fun than a 2005 KTM 450sx or '97 CR250! So easy to ride... and more than capable! [IMG]https://i17.photo...
Hi Everybody, My name is Charlie and I live in the Kansas City area. I bought my 2003 TTR250 back in late October. It's had a couple issues since I bought it, but I really like it alot. I paid $800.00 US. It's been a long time since I've ridden a motorcycle, but I had been wanting to get back into it for quite...

A quick and hopefully simple quetsion; I have seen plenty of choice of graphics sets availabile for the tank, mudgaurds etc. But I would like plain white stickers for above the headlight and side panels (i.e the number boards if it were a MX bike). What do you use for these? Thx, Nigel.
Following on from the Wanted – Shorty levers ://ttr250.activeboard.com/t45326698/shorty-levers/ I have obtained a pair of DRC shorty levers and they are exactly what I was hoping for. When I bought my bike it had the Acerbis hand guards with aluminium bars fitted and the brake and clutch lever...
Here is a pic of Lee in action in last weekend's Northern Classic Reliability Trial. Apparently the TTR never missed a beat. Congratulations Lee! Brian Copyright acknowledged!
Another sprocket/chain question but I'm not asking for gearing combos so hopefully it's an easy one I've just recently put a Pirelli MT43 on the rear but it's really close to the swingarm (so close I've had to remove the mudguard as it was rubbing on it; when the bike was still it had about 2-3...
Hey guys, sold my TTR ages ago now and recently found the owners manual and service booklet from when the bike was purchased new. Both are in excellent condition and come in the plastic wallet thing from the shop. Handy for service schedules and basic maintanence info. Here's the deal - make a donation...
Just bought this bike and would lie to know is there a service manual available? I may be being dense but can only seem to find later variants and the Haynes manual that coverts the Blue bikes. Sorry if I am being dense. Many thanks Stuart
Thought it about time to say hi. I have a 1993 OE which in it's standard form was lacking in fuel range and power. so first was a large acerbis xr400 tank. Fitted perfectly with some longer brackets to the engine mount and one at the seat, which hasn't been deformed. Sorted. On a recent trip to the States, I...
Went for a ride to Bruny Island and seven K's in got a wee bit of a flat. Found this great bike stand on the side of the road. It ended up being a fairly large tear, managed to get a patch on it but another few K's down the road it let go for good so it was back to the ferry at 40Kmh for the trip home. I have managed to...
I use Windows on my computer. Actually, it's running Windows XP Professional Version 2002 with Service Pack 3, but that's not vital. I have the wallpaper set to show my TTR. This is a small-sized example:- What does your computer have? Martyn
Hi, Just signed up and wanted to know where I can get a flywheel puller to fit an '03 TTR 250. Apparently they are not available at Yamaha dealers here anymore, and trying to find an aftermarket one has been a real pain. Can anyone tell me what size I need and any suggestions for here in the states as to where...

Hello there! I live in Graham Washington, just south of Seattle. Been in and out of riding all my life. Now have a 04 TTR250. All stock right now, runs good and reliable. Going to do some small upgades. I have a 12 tooth sprokect on its way, and then some kind of exhaust, then a new rear tire. I have two sons,...
ok guys is it possible to remove a tyre with a mousse fitted instead of inner tube, without cutting the tyre off ?? is a pity if I have to cut a part worn
I realise I am looking for the proverbial rocking horse droppings but I gather here is as good as anywhere to start looking. Hoping to only spend around £1300-£1500 ish for the right bike, preferably with MOT, tax not as important and it doesn't have to be a paddock pony, though it does have to be reliabl...
Hi all, I was very pleased to learn through this site that it is possible to fit suspension linkage bolts and nipples from the earlier models to a blue tank model in order to be able to use a grease gun to grease the linkages. However, when I looked at the parts diagram for an earlier (White) model via the li...
This link was recently bought from a forum member but does not give the result for my requirements. It is in excellent condition with only a minimal defect to one seal but as there is a grease nipple installed, there is no fear of any substantial ingress. PM me for price and pics if required.

Hi Guys . It has been illuminating reading your Forum , as my son Charlie and I have just invested in a Raid c1995 ! Had to be that model as Charlie has an eye for "traditional " lines with bikes , so insisted that it should have a round headlight . He is keen to get to Morocco asp but I am attempting t...
