My name is Greg, I live in West Texas (San Angelo). Bought my 2004 TTR250sc a while back, so I could follow my grandson around on his KTM65 I had just purchased for him a few weeks earlier. Have a horror story to tell about that day. Drove 100 miles north to Midland to look at it. PO listed it as a 05 model, and s...
Hellow everyone....I joined a while back but never really got around to posting anything. I own a 05 TTR250....picked her up used in 06 with about 50 hrs on her. Over the years I have done only regular services on her (oil changes, spark plugs, tires, etc) untill recently, lol. She had a minor fuel leak...
Hi anyone got a spare rear wheel they would consider selling for my 94 oe ? I'm considering going to the TRF exmoor day and need a spare wheel to put a trials tyre on, Don't really want to sod about changing tyres on my existing wheel as it was a nightmare to fit. Thought I'd ask here first before I look at othe...
I have a strange one here... I had my bike sitting for quite a while (years) and took it out a while ago. I cleaned out the carb, airbox, oils etc and put in a fresh plug. For some reason it is very difficult to start. It starts with choke full out, but dies immediately (2 secs). And dies even quicker if I try ap...

I disconnected my battery recently, and when I refitted it, the odometer mileage reading reset itself to zero - not the trip reading, but the total mileage for the bike. When I took the bike to my Yamaha dealer for it's annual mot test last week, he said there are quite a few batches of Yamaha speedo's...
Hi all, Can anyone tell me if it is possible to remove my 14 tooth front sprocket and replace it with a 13t without splitting the final drive chain? The chain is in nearly new condition, so won't bend to the side any more than a new one. Thanks Lama
My second thread started in a day; something of a record for me! So, I got my TTR out of the garage after not being out for a couple of months, to prep it for its MoT. She started first time and all looked well until I checked the back brake - Nothing. The pedle pressed all the way down but no braking on the back...
Hi everyone, I'm a newby to the site and a newby to TTR's. My recently bought 2004 US import is missing a rear wheel spoke. My local dealer tells me spokes are only available from Yamaha as a wheel set. As all the other spokes fitted are in good condition I don't want to buy a whole set when I just need the...
Has anyone got a broken elcetronic clock as used on the TTR's. I'm really after the connector block itself so I can make a nice tidy connector for an after market electronic dash, should let me use the existing hall sensor on the sprocket. So I'd prefer just the connector but I'd take a whole unit
I know there is a debate as to should you cut out the airbox alltogether, drill holes in it or just modify the snorkel,I was out for a few hours in the mud and its amazing where it gets to,The mud and water has managed to get under the seat i'm glad I just modified the snorkel see pic.

Hi all, Does anyone have a spare set of open enduro or raid tank rubbers? I only have 1 on the RHS frame holder so the tank is a little wobbly Thanks Ian
Hi everyone, I've just bought my first TTR, a 93 white open enduro. First impressions are great, but after 5 miles the digital speedo stopped working and just reads even on the M4! The starter button also seems a bit hit & miss, at the petrol station it gave no response on the first 3 prods, then bur...
My seat is seriously slippery. When I'm two-up it's not long before the pillion has squashed my unmentionables into the tank. Does anyone know if a) There's a remedy product to make it more sticky? Or b) Someone males a cheap grippy seat cover for the TTR? I have an 05 UK model. Thanks all

Hi All, My TTR is rattling a lot more than I remember it doing at the end of last year. When riding at a reasonable pace (about 40mph) on a road (tarmac) and neither accelerating (under-load) nor decelerating (coasting) the top end has a distinct quite loud rattle that I don't recall it used to do. It's al...
Brian had been regretting doing nothing but toiling all day with TTRs everywhere so he decided to ask if anyone woull like to have a run out. I thought that it was some time since I was last out - so I volunteered to go with him. As did Bob, Rick, Trev and Simon. The Super Six. All but one of us were riding our TT...
I did a lot of searching and read a lot about uncorking the TTR250 with a lot of good information. The problem that I am running into are the specifics. I have a 1993-1994 TTR250 that I just got professionally painted black. It looks incredible! I'll post some pictures when I can. As I looked for all of th...
