Took the TTR for the first time yesterday for a couple of hours on the Byways near me and very impressed, some of it was pretty heavy going, wet and very muddy but the TTR plodded through everything only down side was a very heavy clutch so just wondering if this is the norm for the Yam ? would be grateful...
This sounds like a daft question but how the hell do I get the front sprocket cover off? Can't seem to get mine off. If you got a manual picture would be helpful
Brian, I think this is a nice idea for a new category here. Maybe some links could be added to some of the "modifcation" content hidden away in other threads? I am a habitual tinker-er & have been wondering about all kinds of add-ons, upgrades, swaps, etc.
After a collision with a tree (before my ownership) what I believe is called the clutch perch is held on by a wing and a prayer, and a bit of gaffer tape. The lever is fine, it's just the bit which clamps around the bars and holds the mirror. The lug which holds the mirror is broken and the whole assembly is pr...
Ok, I know there could maybe be many reasons for this but I will just get a few opinions in because at the moment I don't really have time to look at this but its bugging me!

Hello All. Not been very active on here as my beautiful 04 TTR was pretty much sorted. Perhaps too pretty as someone has had it away. WX04 FCJ was the number but I doubt that's the case anymore. It was pretty standard looks wise with bubbled up tank decals and it had an Adventure Travel Film Festival stic...

Hello to all you TTR250 fans out there, I am tossing up whether or not to include a full re-built of my carby into my 1999 model TT250-RLC Build ''Rebuild started'' thread or just make a separate thread? I thought i would ask the veiw...
I came across a YZ 250 with a blown engine. I can get it for $500. Does anyone know if the TTR 250 motor would fit. I'm thinking the TTR engine reliability + the YZ suspension (with the aliminum frame - 40-50lbs lighter) would be a great bike. Anyone know if it will work. Brian your thoughts would be appr...

I have been looking through the parts diagrams for my '04 US-spec TTR & am unable to find the tool kit (mentioned in the AU manual I have) which leads me to belive that the bikes didn't come with a kit as they were not sold as street-legal machines here. But I would like to carry some tools & since I s...
