After a 40 year gap I'm back on motorbikes, I lived bikes for about 10 yrs until I got married first time in 1975. before that I used to make up trail bikes and mainly ride in wales, also I entered the Exeter trial twice.
My last trail bike was a Bultaco Matador, which I rode up Snowdon one easter - I would get put in the 'slammer' if I tried that again.
After my son got into bikes so did I with an XT660R, great to be back on a bike now I have retired (work sucks). big mistake taking it out with a trail riders group, I remember taking a 500cc Gold star in trials trim out ok but the XT is a real beast off road. After coming off 4-times I decided to buy a TTR250. Just sorted the bike out, so it's out soon with the GLOS TRF, but my son wants to ride the TTR250 so I guess I will have to 'man it out' again on the XT.
