I know there is a debate as to should you cut out the airbox alltogether, drill holes in it or just modify the snorkel,I was out for a few hours in the mud and its amazing where it gets to,The mud and water has managed to get under the seat i'm glad I just modified the snorkel see pic.

I cut two sections off the external and two secttions off the internal which did improve breathing, then added a kand n filter these two mods made a big difference but it did run a bit lean,(we are at sea level)see pics

if you went through water and stuff that is nothing. theres only a little run off in there. I put a bead of silicone around the hole where the snorkel was ripped out of mine to act as a barrier for any run off. had nothing in there yet. actually ive had nothing in the area and been doing heaps of puddles and stuff lately

yeah just thinking cause i ripped my snorkel out and they finish right next to the hole where the snorkel was. if something does come out of them its going in that hole lol.

i could just re route them easily enough.

They are breather tubes - one each side of the carb where there is a T joint. The lower pipes have one-way valves to allow the tubes to drain but not allow water back up.

Seems like mine have suffered mods or damage. One NRV missing. You wouldn't happen to have a picture or diagram of where the right hand hose fits?

I've got the left one on but I suspect the other one has been adrift since I got the bike!
