Hi Luke and welcome to the forum handshake.gif

If you haven't got a workshop manual then it is really worth getting hold of one - see here

The manual suggest making the following checks when you have no spark or an intermittent spark:

  1. Main fuse
  2. Battery
  3. Spark plug
  4. Spark plug gap
  5. Spark plug cap resistance
  6. Ignition coil resistance
  7. Main switch
  8. "ENGINE STOP" switch
  9. Neutral switch
  10. Sidestand switch
  11. Pickup coil resistance
  12. Wiring connection (entire ignition system)

You can rule out a few of those where you have fitted new parts and my guess is that it is something simple. I have had trouble with neutral wires a couple of times. Try using a separate bit of wire to run from the switch to the connector above the carb and see if that helps. Is the neutral light working?
