If it's running great get out and ride it!!

Wouldn't bother with the valve timing but check the valve clearances if you feel you must. My old Raid only needed the clearances doing once in about 30,000 miles.

But saying that they are easy enough to check.

Your snow is melting in Montana but we are getting more here in Scotland and freezing temperatures. Should be fun riding to work tomorrowbiggrin

I should add that it's worth checking wheel bearings, suspension bearings etc, brakes but if you are doing your own servicing I guess that you are on top of things like that.

I bought my 06 ttr 2 years ago, and done the mods, street legaled it here in montana, new q4 muffler, running great. I would love to bring to a local mechanic to check out. What should i have him check. Not really a tune up as i can change oil, air, spark. But what should i have him do?  Thinking about valves, timing? i dont know, SNow is melting up here and thinking about riding.

I hear you. We all thought we were going to get lucky with stuff melting but it's snowing like crazy right now. Expecting 12-18" & we still had 8-10" on the ground, so it'll be a while yet.

I'm thinking to check all bearings, as well.
