1995 Raid from Okinawa

I am from the US and live in Okinawa Japan...

I have a 1995 TTR-250 Raid, 35,000 km on the clock.  I've upgrade as much as I can so far, air box, jets, exhaust, seat cover, lights, and other accessories...

I've procured parts from the US, UK, Aus, and Japan... it's been a long road, but I am close to being complete

wheels and tire cost as mush I paid for the whole bike.

when I bought it...

Current (just put the wheels on, haven't ridden it yet)

ジェームズようこそ

Welcome James

I can't see much of bike in the first picture, but the difference between now and then is almost un-believable.

Front end ain't even close to what was is in first picure.

Looks like you got busy! I'm guessing you don't drink much saki?

Thanks guys, It's been a slow build... I enjoy riding it too much to keep it down for too long.

Hi James - loving those wheels!

Sorry if I missed it, but what rims and hubs did you use and, if not the standard TTR hub, how did you manage with the axle, spacers and brake disc?

I am guessing that, being in the home of TTRs, you haver no problems getting spares. Are there still a lot of TTRs in Japan?

Brian

I used the stock hubs and had a local bike shop lace up some DID rims, 17x3" front and 17x4" rears. Tires are Continental conti-attack SM's 120's ft and 150's rear.

Funny thing is that there are not many down here in Okinawa. I've only seen one other TTR-250. And parts are expensive. I have parts from all over the world on it, US is usually cheapest but there never was a Raid in the US so I have to hope that the dirtbike parts will fit (they usually do)

James.
