hi my bike runs fine all through the rev range, pulls well. the engine seems to get really hot and the plug (new)is white and dry.I stripped the carb blew it through with air all seems fine ,air screw 1 1/2 turns out.no air leaks on exhaust or inlet rubbers, I was thinking of dropping the needle 1 notch ? any ideas ?

thanks mark

White deposits on the spark plug means extremely lean.

You should first check that nothing is dirty or clogged, than proceed to re-jet if the problem persists.

Before you re-jet- lower your jet needle down to the lowest setting (sharp end)- does it run better? if so, larger jets may be needed.
