Generator cover torque settings

The TTR has been great except a couple of things I found which is no big deal but needed fixing. I cleaned the carb checked the cables and it still decided every so often to rev high even with the throttle closed and the slide seated properly. After inspection I have a split inlet rubber so I suspect thats the problem as it was also flat in top gear and bogging down. I also noticed the bike was using alot of oil for a min of miles so found that the gasket on the generator cover had a split. Open it up and I see Yamaha kindly missed one hole near the rubber for the wiring and punched another one leaving a split in the gasket hence the leaking! Both parts I collect on Monday from Brian and Trish.

Does anyone know the torque setting for the generator cover please?

Mike, here is a copy of the torque details found in the TTR workshop manual.

Use common sense and rely on your gut feelings.

The length of the spanner (allen key) gives an idea of the force needed to tighten things.

If you need extra force (hammer/extension) then it's generally too much.
