Hi there, I've ridden my ttr from the UK to Nepal and will be shipping it to Brisbane for the 16th October. Nothing too hairy mind, mines loaded and onl...
I found a great tip from Lin on an old thread of his which is to get yourself a Pentel White 100WM marker pen. About £4 inc p&p from eBay. An example here. Marking some parts before disassembly can be very helpful come the rebuild. The ink will survive extremely well and is resistant to oil and grease...
You tube dropped the slideshow option, but I installed Video Pad & it has a trial slideshow program, testing it out with a few photos from our VHC trip this year Terry
After numerous 100 mile day trips on my recently rehabbed TTR250, the time had come to pile on the camping gear and take a week to head out on dirt roads and loop out and back from my home in Missoula Montana USA. The BLUE LINE on the maps approximates the trip through South West Montana. The goal was rid...

Google Translate- Good morning. I want to unscrew the oil filter cover and here is the poverty. 1 Allen screw is round inside. This information got buried in another thread so I have given it a thread of its own and hope it will be useful to owners. As usual, let me know if you spot any flaws in it please Crankcase:NB The crankcase bolts fitted to the later blue TTR models are slightly different to the earlier metal-tanked model...
Hello everyone. I do enjoy off-road driving and I'm willing to try trail bikes since I got a spare time to do so. Right now, all we have is a Yamaha YZ250. I'm planning to sell one of my trucks so that I could afford a more proper bike. Glad I found this community! - Wayne
After a long break, I finally got back on the TTR for a trail ride - after some encouragement from my good mate Jim who set the date and tried to rally the troops I wasn't sure how it would be as it wasn't long ago that I had a "medical episode" resulting in having a couple of stents fitted. So I planned the rou...
Hi all, I got my ttr oe last Friday. All was well. I discovered original air filter was not all there. About a 1/4 of it had fell apart and was mostly crumbled in the air box. New air filter fitted after cleaning crud out of airbox. On my way home from work Friday night bike slowed and spluttered, time to go to...
Just thought I'd post this here, I replaced my bars a while ago with Protaper - Seven Eighths - YZ high bend - they are exactly the same as standard but much stronger Alloy ones. In case its handy for someone else I thought I'd post it up. Cheers Leigh.
Hi, I’ve been a member on here for a wee while but thought it was about time I said hello and posted some pictures of my 1993 TTR250 OE.It’s actually the 2nd time I’ve owned the bike, I first bought it back in 2006 as my first bike and main form of transport. It had 15000km on the clock and was a blast to ride aro...

So I was looking for a bigger bike from my little but cheap and L plate battered xt125r. The xt started as a very budget bike to see if I liked grean Laning. I'm glad to say I do. The ttr I first boug...
Today my flatmate spent about half an hour wondering where the second chain for his bike was until he realised that someone had cropped it off and taken it. He realised this when he checked his other chain and the two for my bike and noticed bolt cropper marks on all three. Other than going to sleep in the t...
I was doing a check over my bike and it looks like the previous owner put the chain roller in the wrong spot when installing the skid plates. Am I correct? Do I just unbolt it and put it below or are there washers That could be missing?

Does Anyone have or know were to get a bike that is around $500. it just has to run and drive. I know that this isn't the exact right place to ask, but...
There is an article "One Year In" by Dominic Hunt starting on page 30 of the latest TRAIL magazine with a couple of nice photos of his 2004 TTR250. Are you on here Dominic? If so, nice one mate Brian
