I want to unscrew the oil filter cover

Google Translate- Good morning. I want to unscrew the oil filter cover and here is the poverty. 1 Allen screw is round inside. The second one is for a screwdriver and the thread in the motor is broken. A bit of a problem. What advice is there? What dimensions do the original screws have?

I advised myself with the allen key. I drove torx and unscrewed. The riddle will be next.

These screws are probably of different lengths. Which is where?

Might have to cut a slot across the bolt heads and try a screwdriver. I think they are coarse metric 6mm bolts. The one with the thread gone can be fixed with a helicoil  or similar (installs new thread)

May have to take the side cover off to keep the mess out of the cases.

If that doesn't work

If you grind the heads off then the cover will come off leaving enough bolt to grip or weld something to and carefully screw the bolts out

Just be patient and work slowly

I'd say one of the most common group of bolts to be over tightened I think

Oil Filter Cover bolt set Genuine-Yamaha-Part

Hi Tom

The long screw is top right (looking at it)

The short screw is top left

The one with the thicker shoulder is the bottom one.

Hope that helps.

Steve

Thank you, les. The screws have already been unscrewed, they are 6 mm and I will give helicoil or 1/4 UNC as advised by Peter. The screwdriver did not help, I hammered the torx and unscrewed. I do not know how long each screw is and where each one is. For me, there is nothing original.
I found a 1 / 4UN thread bolts of 20 turns per inch. Will they be good? Please specify lengths yet.

Steve, thank you, the easiest way to buy from you, but this damn consignment ...
