I'm thinking of changing out the friction plates on my clutch. I'm pretty sure but not positive that the clutch plates for the WR250 are the same as the ones in the blue TTRs. Can anyone confirm that this is the case?

So I've recently fitted a shiny new FMF Powercore 4 along with a FMF quiet core. Previously I'd fitted another after market pipe but was unhappy with the results. I think it flowed worse than the stock pipe and I needed to lower the needle (or raise the clip) to the highest setting to work properly. I deci...
Hello everybody. I think i have the solution to the age old problem of chain lubrication when out riding. A very simple device that allows the rider to lube his/her (non sexist) chain, even while on the move. The simple parts being. 1 A screw top container. 2 Grass mower engine priming bulb. 3 A length o...
just back from riding the French TET from Rodez to carcassone , then across to Foix , then back to Cahor on as many GR routes as we could find , the two ttrs on the trip performed brilliantly and didn't miss a beat , just under 2k kilometres in 6 days of everything the French countryside could throw at us from...

Hey everybody! Gleaming with pride today as I took my first ride on my project bike since the engine overhaul was finished. I’m so happy with how it feels and sounds. So far, it’s had a valve rebuild, new timing chain and cam gears, piston and rings, honed cylinder, new clutch, rebuilt the carb, replace...
As promised in another thread regarding the removal of wheel bearings, I have now sucessfully removed the rear collars and bearings using an expanding through bolt rather than an expensive bearing puller. These are the bolts I purchased; the smaller M8 for the front wheel and the larger M12 for the r...

Difficulty is an understatement - it seems to have taken up most of my afternoon Flywheels can be stubborn but I haven't come across one before where it seemed like it was welded on! I used a combination of flywheel puller, heat, rattle gun and a generous helping of Irish screwdriver and it eventually...
After some searching around, these are the best after-market replacements I can find. Not quite the quality of the genuine Yamaha articles but at a fraction of the cost. See here for a selection of switches on offer from Steve at Totally TTRs. Brian
Can anyone suggest a good tyre for weekday commuting with occasional greenlaning. I've been looking at Michelin Sirac and wandered if anyone had any experience with them. Or if any better alternatives. Also if anyone had any for sale etc... Thanks. Tom

With no one except two mates and myself riding in the forest I was going along at walking pace and for some reason a kangaroo decided to hop into me from the right hand side hurt a bit. I've asked many times why run at the only thing in the forest making a noise I've had quite a few hits and misses but this one...
I just went out to a local track and went in the deepest mud I've ever been in. the tires gave me lots of of confidence. Deepest bog I went in was up to the seat.
Well i always wondered why the ttr250 only seemed to come out with one grab handle, and i always wanted another just to make it look symmetrical, much like my mates 600. So I managed to get my hands on one from a wreck and thought here's my opportunity. Well what i thought would be a 15 minute job max, turned...
