So I eventually got around to having my first ever proper go at riding the TTR off road and have say I loved it. I recently found out about Uncle Eddie's Enduro track and wasted little time in getting down there to give it a go. The location was perfect for me and as it was fairly quiet I was able to explore bot...
Hi, I bought a 2005 blue TTR250 just before Christmas, my first 'off Roader' after nearly 44 years of riding Road Bikes. I'm looking to ride some Green Lanes soon. Ian
I have read a thread or two on VIN numbers on here and elsewhere on the Net, but not sure what to make of my VIN number. According to everything i have seen the 10th digit is the year of manufacture and until 2000 it was represented by a letter - in this case apparantly "Y". From 2001 and up the year is represen...

Fitted a pirelli scorpion rear today and a full service it's done 2000ks since its rebuild The hot day made fitting the tire a bit easier I did manage to pinch the tube so got to have a second go Gone with a 100/100 as the narrow tire helps it turn a bit quicker and doesn't climb out if ruts as much happy with...
Hi everyone, new to TTRs and this forum. I was doing some reading on the infamous sprag clutch issues common to TTRs. I've noticed mine makes a clunk when stopping and just wanted a second opinion from someone other owners about whether this sound is normal (just the engine coming to a stop) or somethin...
I just got through washing TEN air filters . I always find it a PITA do do so put it off and wash as many at once I can. P.S. only two for were for the TTR. How does everyone else dry theirs, I usually string them up on a coat hangar and use a fan or hairdryer if I'm in a hurry. Its that hot today they should dri...

Just wondering what aftermarket Exhausts and Headlights I can get for my 01 TTR250 for a good, affordable price. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers!
Has anyone got a HPI trade account. I understand on a trade account its possible to check by frame number is a frame has ever been registered, if it has (and not stolen), its then possible to apply for a V5 with the reg number. Happy to pay, there is someone called Yodi that keeps popping up on searches, b...
I have recently bought a 2005 TT250R . It has nobblies on front (80/100/21) & rear (140/80/18). I am looking for better road use tyres. Can anyone recommend a suitable pair of tyres & advise if sizes need to stay the same or is there any known room for wider road profile tyre?
Hello I have a problem. My bike will crank but won't start. I have checked the fuel lines and the carb is properly tuned. It was running good the other day, I went out during the night (in the city) but after a few minutes of riding my headlight died so I was forced to turn back. When I tried to start the bike to...
Some bits I have for sale. A pair of raid gold wheels. I have washed them off but would come up better. They run straight but have some corrosion on the inside especially the rear. A bunch of spokes need tightening and they have various scrapes and scratching as they were used offroad for years. So not for...

The video is of cars and bikes taking part in the annual MCC Exeter Trial - a Long Distance Trial that runs overnight from the Friday and into the following Saturday afternoon. I have competed in the trial a number of times on a TTR and it's a gruelling event! The hills that are used as marked test sections...
Here are a few Motor Bike related truths (Substitute TTR for Motor Bike if you want to) :- ·If you say bad things to your Motor Bike you don't have to apologise to it before you ride again.·If your Motor Bike doesn't look too good you can paint it or get new parts.·If your Motor Bike...
The photos are actually from de-rusting my BSA C15 tank which, to be fair, is nearly 60 years old but the same technique can be applied to an OE or Raid metal tank that might have been left standing empty of fuel for a few years. The media I used is quite chunky and used in vibrating tumblers and is called, if...
