Hi all,

just got my hands on a 2004 TTR which requires some TLC!

Hopefully a nice winter project to keep me going, expect lots of stupid questions

Welcome to the forum Dale!
Sponge as much information as you want from here. Most questions have already been asked and discussed, some have even been answered (which is more than can be said for many other forums ) The search function works pretty well, but don't fear ridicule - we're mostly gentlemen here, (apart from the ladies!) ask-away.
Ride safe,
Simon.

Actually, that's unfair - almost all the questions have been answered. TTRFan is THE man, but there are gurus aplenty.

Welcome to THE Forum for TTRs, Dale.

You're bound to be asked so I'll do it first - let's see some pictures of your beast before and after your TLC, please.   biggrin

Thank you for the welcome, finally got it into my garage at home (so pictures will follow lol)

Needs a little more work than first thought, needs a new headlight and surround, speedo and cable, indicators, throttle tube and grips, front and rear wheel bearings, chain and sprockets, tyres, has a leaky engine gasket and is in desperate need of a general clean up. Oh and it's refusing to start to top it off (I know it does run just isn't too happy at the moment!).the good thing is that it owes me pretty much nothing :D

Just bought the service manual from Totally TTRs and been reading through that.

Some fresh fuel, battery on charge and a new spark plug ready to fit, hopefully it will fire into life fairly quickly before I start taking it apart and cleaning it up...

Hi Dale

If you got a bike for pretty much nothing, you have had a result! Blueys are fetching good money and more than that, they are the ultimate trail bikesmilesmile

So spending a bit to turn the old girl around, is money well spent. Enjoysmilesmilesmile
