The service manual that I downloaded from this forum gives details of how to distribute the fork oil when refilling the forks, but I am still not totally clear on the process. In the Front Fork, Asse...

When attempting to adjust the rear suspension rebound damping on my 2005 TTR250 I discovered that it doesn't click when rotated. This is the knurled dial at the bottom of the shock. The manual describes all of the suspension adjustments in terms of "clicks". Can someone describe the cli...

I recently had the seat recovered and when I look at the underside it is obvious there were once a couple of rubber (or similar) pads on the underside and there is a 6mm thread for attaching same. Our upholsterer tells us that "No, I never saw any pads there". It looks to me as though they would h...
Thanks for the supplier list, besides what Brian stocks, any recommendations for a good UK Yamaha spares online supplier for items he doesn't stock. I've used Wemoto but they are mainly service items, and some parts from A J Sutton for my XTR, any others you have had experience with. Not that I need...
I decided it was time for an oil and filter change, however it seems that last time I topped up the oil I must have over tightened the filler cap, as today I could not get it off......... Needless to say, the bolt head is now rounded off. so two things: firstly, in the short term, can I get oil into the engine...
Hi, is there a particular type of grease that should be used to lubricate the wheel spindles ( are they called this, the shafts that come out to take the wheels off )? When repairing a puncture "in the field" it was pointed out to me that they shouldn't be dry so I thought I'd check if there was a c...

Hi Guys, I am swapping out my standard 14 tooth front sprocket for a 13 tooth one and noticed (as shown in pics) the current one seems to have rubber on both sides that the new one doesn't. Is this something I need to mount on the new one???? Or just an option that is not really necessary?? Thanks, Michae...

Today's been very drizzly and not like summer at all. Whilst out and about in the car we were following a van. The registration plate caught my eye and since I had my camera handy here is a blurred crop of the snap. Quite appropriate but, sadly, not 250 TTR or TTR 250. Martyn
Looking for a kick start kit for my 2005. Have been all thru here and other sites. Either none of the sites carry this or the links are too old. Any help would be appreciated.
Hi, does anyone else run one of these ? my ride came with one fitted but Ive never really used one in the past, I like to clean and lube myself (ooer mrs), so I can do a few checks and keep a eye on things, Just wondered on peoples thoughts of these.
So ..............
HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRIAN
