I've bought a few bikes off e-bay, and out of the rags before it existed.
I've always preferred the experience of getting a previously owned motorcycle from the previous owner. Never had a bad one, but I've always been happy to miss one where the situation seemed 'odd'.
The fact that the bike is at work and not your address, and the one on the logbook, is the only thing that would make me think twice. The spelling and grammar is always another pointer, but yours is fine.
