Every time I go out for a ride, when back home I have to physically take the side panel off and take air box cover off and drain loads of water out, I thought it had a draining system? I noticed a gap between the seat and mudguard and can see where water gets in, I can't understand why the snorkel faces toward...

The airbox snorkle is cut and the throttle stop is removed. I get on the google and it sais that this is a basic way to open up the bike, but it need jettin...

Hey guys, I have a ttr-250 and have noticed that my fuel tank has a crack in the top of it after it started leaking when I filled her up. The crack is about 7cm long I would say but it's only a little hairline crack. I have tried the solder iron trick but I can still see the crack, I'm not even sure if this theory w...

So I think the wifey is going to get me all the parts I need to uncork my TTR for Christmas. I'll be giving her links to the exact products of course. Pipe - I was wanting a Q4, but I found Powercore 4's on Amazon as low as $205. Is that a good deal for the money? Is it super loud? I don't want a screamer, but I also d...
Hi All, Just bought a 2004 TTR 250. Really happy with the bike and plan on a few small mods, pillion footpegs, headlightswitch etc. I currently have a Triumph Tiger 800XC and my 12 year old son has the TTR250's baby brother, the TTR125. Looking forward to some greenlaning and hope to meet some of you in th...
I am on bearing refurb duties today. Just stripped out an old link arm and was a bit surprised at how worn the lower shock bearing was. The outer bearing case was worn through and the bearing had taken a substantial groove out of the link arm itself which is sadly now scrap I don't think it would have passe...
I have a 1998 OE that seems to have a strange electrical problem that I could do with some help on if possible. My bike generally starts with no problem, but when running the bike often 'cuts out' very very briefly and then continues to run. It almost feels like someone has turned the key on and off very qui...

Useful spares to keep. £6 for the pair inc UK p&p. They are part 12 in the pic below and are special nuts - not sure of their technical name - so...
My life of debauchery finally caught up with me. The ticker went awry two weeks ago and I got whipped into a coronary care unit. We got a little snow here in New York! There is probably 10 inches on the ground. It was fun but difficult to maneuver the bike. I had a lot of fun though! Here are some pics. The bike is not being held up with the kickstand in this picture. The snow is high enough to keep it up.
A big welcome to James a new forum member and owner of my old ttr. Hope she does you proud, and will catch up next time im in devon, and dont forget to join the trf, great guys the devon lot. Adrian
Its one week since I picked up the ttr, it's taking a bit of getting used to as it's years since I rode a trail bike. I'm only using it on the road at the moment, the biggest shock are the mitas tyres. The bike wallows around a bit but they do grip the road quite well. Getting used to the power is interesting as m...
