Yeah the driving lay off seemed to vary, some lads only got a weeks sentence. Maybe it was my treadmill test, I only lasted 3 minutes, whereas before the attack I'd been doing some good, hilly, mountain bike rides.

the good news is the ultrascan on the ticker showed it to be in good nick, so I should be ok when the treatment is complete.

These stents are amazing!

My life of debauchery finally caught up with me.

The ticker went awry two weeks ago and I got whipped into a coronary care unit.

I've had a shiny platinum stent fitted, (38mm x 4mm od, hope your impressed!) and another two arteries are to get attention too.

I feel fine and have started my walking programme, so far so good.

There's an automatic 4 week ban from driving, (they didn't mention riding!), so in 2 weeks, yippee.

Here's a fact for you, stent balloon inflation pressure?

11bar, ye gods.

Stents are good Gordon - got one myself after I had a flutter wink

Nobody mentioned a driving layoff to me so I guess you were in poor shape.

Hope you recover soon - lots of time for you to fettle now - shame it's so cold outside though no

Brian

Righty mister glad you are on the mend. I have worked CCU in Hammersmith Hosp for a few years prior to moving to Wales. Where did they do your plasty from wrist or groin ?

Either way please be careful with the entry point for the next couple of days jumping on the bike to soon could result in more than just your ticker playing up and is often forgot because medics don't think we want to get back to the trails asap no

However glad your up and running sorry to sound like a old fart !

Plasty done via right wrist.

Slightly puzzled as to how they'll do other two arteries needing attention. It's my right one ( RCA ) that has the stent.

My letter from the hospital to my GP says I have in the Cx - significant proximal disease in the first marginal vessel. Significant disease in the very distal Cx branch - small vessel. Treatment, planned intervention.

My LAD - mid vessel moderate disease. Treatment, interval FFR

To do the others, they might go in the femoral or just the other wrist, by the sounds of it they are going to give you a good scraping, and see if you can get away with diet management. If you needed the others stenting there and then they would have done it, unless you was totally occluded in the other coronies. However you are in good hands so dont. Sweat it just walk away from the kebab and say hello vitalight :)
