Hi All, Just bought a 2004 TTR 250. Really happy with the bike and plan on a few small mods, pillion footpegs, headlightswitch etc.

I currently have a Triumph Tiger 800XC and my 12 year old son has the TTR250's baby brother, the TTR125.

Looking forward to some greenlaning and hope to meet some of you in the future.

Cheers. Mark

Welcome to the forum Mark handshake.gif

You should be able to buy the rear foot pegs here- http://totallyttrs.com/ .  I'm unsure if Brian has these in stock though. For some reason it seems the site is down, hopefully Brian will fix it soon if that's the case.

For fitting the On/Off headlight switch, see here- http://ttr250.activeboard.com/t53061334/fitting-an-onoff-switch-for-lighting-components/

Glad you are happy with your ride.

Jarrah

Hello Mark

Welcome to the forum and Merry Christmas to you.

A Yamaha trailing family - pity about the Tiger but someone has to have them. wink

There is a TRF group in Somerset that meets at The King Alfred Inn, Burrowbridge, Bridgwater on the 2nd Thursday of the month (7:30).

They are the lads to get in with for the (legal) trails.

Of course, Devon isn't all that far distant - the trail capital of GB. biggrin

Oh, the main page works now, not sure why it didn't from the FAQ pages or seaching?

Here are the footpegs mentioned- http://ttr250.activeboard.com/t53328494/used-original-rear-passenger-footpegs-fits-all-ages-of-ttr-e/ or direct link- http://www.ttr250.com/totallyttrs/Used_parts/index#rear_passenger_footpegs

Enjoy!

Welcome to the forum Mark! I am not too far away from you - just outside Exeter wink

Sadly Somerset lost a lot of their fabulous RUPPs over Exmoor following the NERC Act but still enough left to maintain interest. As Cubber says, we have loads of unsurfaced legal roads in Devon biggrinbiggrin

Thanks to all for the advice and welcome. I agree not a lot of legal greenlanes on my door step, but loads of option within striking distance. I'll head down to Devon soon.
My shopping list is growing and I'll be in touch with Brian soon.
Merry Christmas, All.
Mark

Buffalo - you mentioned in an earlier posting that you may try south - AFTER Christmas.  biggrin

Let me know when you consider to be after Christmas and I'll think about it.

In the meantime you could ask Santa for some Turtlewax and Solvol Autosol to keep the Yamaha shine up.  hmm
