Modded the chain guard to make it lower for the 52t sprocket Didn't have any 6mm aluminium so made do with 2 x 3mm pieces, the standard bracket that is welded to the swing arm is 6mm thick Haven't pet the wheel and chain on yet but the 52 tooth is about 20mm larger than the 44 tooth The finished product, once I...
Also carved them into CDI box. Rear shocky. Rear mud gaurd. And many other places. Im 53 and will have the ttr for many years to come Or as long as i can twist a throttle.
Had the bike out today (did some very tight wet trails through woods weve not done before and it nearly killed me so ive orderd a 52 tooth sprocket !) and when using the strater button it just clicked a few times then started fine ,im pretty sure its going to be the solinoid but is there a check list on hear of...

Hi, Is this normal? The bike is a 09 model and I have not rode it for 3 months. I just put a new battery in it and everything is fine with the electrics except I can't remember if this is normal and maybe I should be digging a bit deeper. Many thanks, Matt

The Previous owner of my bike had a bolt on tailpack and it has left some nasty holes in the rear fender, where would I get a replacement to fill the gaps, all the ones I can find on ebay just strap on??? p.s. wish me luck, MOT tomorrow!
As title I am looking for the tool kit, they should be same on all years, would just buy the box if the tools have been lost? -- Edited by domski1 on Thursday 20th of September 2012 03:04:39 PM
Hi All Well I've had the starter bang going on for a while now and decided it's time to fix it before anything else gets damaged (Hopefully) So here is the patient in the theater, all prepped and ready for surgery The patient stripped down and cleaned up ready for the new bits, the gasket came off clean...
Any of u guys run aftermarket cams? If so, what was your experience? Was there a noticeable difference in performance? I'm not looking for someone to say " if u want more power, than get a different bike!". I'm investing a lot into my ttr and I plan on keeping it for quite some time. More power i...
E bay australia. A 94 TTR for parts or restore. 200 bucks with 2 days remaining. Id grab it for the wheels but this country is so big it would be a 20 hour round trip for me. Maybe worth the trip if anyone lived in the sydney area. I cant do the link thing on this iphone. If i had more off a cash flow and more resorc...
Hi All Well after a long hiatus due to work related stuff (Started a new business and it seems to be humming along nicely now) It's time to reacquaint my self with some of my toys, chiefly is the TTR, well I think I rode it down the road a few times because I couldn't be bothered to actually walk the dog so I rod...
They have finaly posted the dates... Took me 15 minutes to make the motel bookings... Now just waiting for the reg to open... I did intend to take the TTR... With the mileage we have to cover each day... I think the XT660R will be the bike... fuel tank on the TTR will be a issue... the XT has a 22.5L tank &...
I went on a big ebay bender and order a chain and sprocket kit. I don't nessacerly need the new chain, but I sure don't mind having a spare. The sprockets are 13t front and 46t rear. I'm mostly doing street and fast trail riding with some occassional tight stuff. I'm guessing that 13/46 would be equal to 14...

I'm in Canada. I'm riding at sea level mostly. Just ordered the tusk DS kit, sprockets and chain kit ( my chain is fine, just wanted the gearing and a spair chain), and an FMF PC4 with spark arrestor. I ordered it all on ebay. I'm pretty pumped! I'll have to obviously do some jetting to accommodate for t...
I have had a couple of queries about side panel decals recently so just a reminder that D&D Graphics can supply these, together with a headlight decal, in good quality material - see here
Picked up a 93/94 Raid import fairly cheapish. It starts and rides ok and had an mot that ran out earlier in the year. Thought I would give it a look and see what it needed doing. Thought i would strip the rear suspension and check all the bearings... [IMG]http://imageshack.us/a/img708/1365/j1se.jp...
Hi all As title says does anyone know the part number of the chain case, this is what the yamaha manual calls it but I would call it achain guard. Also, where is the best place to order parts for the older bikes if you want a genuine item ? thanks Steve
Hi everyone. Warning: a long story to come. Will try to cut it short... OK. After 9 years and >70,000km my TTR shock finally got to the stage where something needed to be done. Rebound clicks gone, graunchy feeling and general crapness even worse than stock. So I searched the world for a replacement...
Well I got a deal on a TTR. The plan is to make it street legal in GA and do some dualsporting. It does have an issue that I am not sure where to start. At about 3/4 revs, US models don't have a tach so I am guess, it seems to cut out and loose power. Any suggestions where to start looking. I am going to start w...
Out for the third time with the East MIDs TRF on SundayI I decided to reverse a route we had just come up as the rest of the group were looping back round to a meeting point. Needing to practice my technique I took the opportunity to try this in the opposite direction. Also took the time to record it too. [vi...
Hi everyone from wet north Yorkshire where my new project is awaiting a lot of work. My newly acquired 94 open enduro which I bought on a certain auction site turns out to be an original bike, complete with tool kit no less. However it also comes with 20 years of grime and a snapped subframe. So plan is now t...
I decided I needed a small rack so I made this one. I included a couple of holders for some tyre levers. My small bag fits on nicely... As the indicators were getting some grief, and the existing registration plate holder was on its last legs, I made this too... The rack has seen a few tumbles over th...
I am ashamed to admit that my brother Trev and I hadn't been out on the lanes since last September so we thought it about time we broke our 2014 duck! We went for a short morning bimble but didn't complete our planned route having spent a bit of time clearing a route through fallen trees in a couple of places...
