Bolt on Tail Pack
Permalink

The Previous owner of my bike had a bolt on tailpack and it has left some nasty holes in the rear fender, where would I get a replacement to fill the gaps, all the ones I can find on ebay just strap on???

p.s. wish me luck, MOT tomorrow!

Brian should be able to sort you out with a rear mudguard overnight. See here- http://www.totallyttrs.com/NOS/index#rear_mudguard

Failing that I would need to know the dimensions of the holes or what brand/make of rear fender bag was fitted.

See here for a bolt-on rear mudguard bag.

If the holes don't exactly match those in your mudguard then drill new ones up through the existing holes in your mudguard into the bag wink

Spunky, just be aware that putting tools in a fender bag could result in the tools bashing around which could cause the zipper to fail and/or puncture the bag itself. I just ordered a small acerbis bag. It's mainly just going to hold my registration and insurance card along with some other light odds and ends. In all honesty, I mainly ordered the bag cause I like the way it looks lol.biggrin
