Just got a TTR

Well I got a deal on a TTR.  The plan is to make it street legal in GA and do some dualsporting.  It does have an issue that I am not sure where to start.  At about 3/4 revs, US models don't have a tach so I am guess, it seems to cut out and loose power.  Any suggestions where to start looking.  I am going to start with a good carb cleaning but the PO claims he already did this.  Then I am going to check and adjust valves.

Thanks for all the info so far.  Look forward to becoming a participating member from the US.

Welcome, Ryan.

First off I'd check to see if the PO did any modifications to the air box, snorkel or air filter that would affect the breathing. confuse

Hello Ryan and welcome to the forum

Your problem is most certainly the accelerator pump nozzle blocked or the diaphragm or O-rings perished.

Here are a few links (that work) to help with this-

Also see this thread for more tips- http://ttr250.activeboard.com/t55887362/some-random-questions-from-a-new-owner/

Any questions- ask!
