Hi All

Well after a long hiatus due to work related stuff
(Started a new business and it seems to be humming along nicely now)

It's time to reacquaint my self with some of my toys, chiefly is the TTR, well I think I rode it down
the road a few times because I couldn't be bothered to actually walk the dog
so I rode and the dog follows, in fact he loves it
Yeh Yeh, Bike Bike Bike, Stick Stick Stick, Bike Bike Bike etc... you get the picture !
The battery nearly went completely flat, just enough juice for 1 start and the tyres had about 2psi in them

Also intend do do a bit of Archery again, my compound bow actually has spiders living on it !

So it's starting to cool down here again now, it's a delightful 14c here as I type and drizzling (does that sound a bit like England ?)
Visability of about 100 mtrs at Wentworth falls and Katoomba today
Yesterday it was 34c, hot and most uncomfortably humid.

SO ON TO A FEW MOD AND REPAIRS I NEED TO DO

MODS

Make foot pegs wider using some old worn out ones Barra sent to me
Rear brake pedel, move back and make wider
Gear lever, Bend to a more suitable position and make wider
Find my stainless cable and swages and make safety cables attached to frame ( I kind of know where it all is)

Fit bar risers and extended cables I got from Brian what seems ages ago now

Do muffler mod and repaint (as seen facebook somewhere, I saved that page as a PDF file)   (Not 100% about this one yet)

Do air box mod
Rebuild and rejet carb
Make new tail tidy
Modify rear rack to make it lighter
Polish all plastics
Polish header and rear stainless cover
Fit new Graphics kits I will have printed with my custom graphics

Send seat for repair/remodel (wider and flatter and a bit softer)
Australian Comfy Seats

Build windscreen with adjustable brackets (up and down)
Remove turn/signal/neutral display and replace with led's
Strip down speedo and remount without all the unnecessary weight
Replace all number plate/fairing mount brackets with aluminium
Replace Glass and Steel lump of a headlight with really light, bright LED's
Mud flaps front and rear

Replace all indicators with LED's (got 4 small ones from ebay)
Blinkers Here

Fit my new HDB Hand guards with integrated fold away mirrors, check out there gallery
highwaydirtbikes.com

REPAIRS
Fix starter sprag clutch
Replace swing arm bearings
Repair striped front axle stud with helicoil
Check/Grease front forks and head stock bearings
Clean and grease throttle housing

There will probably be a few other things and this all should keep me busy in the shed for a couple of weeks worth of nights

.  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .

So if anyone is interested in progress reports let me know and I'll document it and post it up

A note to Brian

Welcome back Steve!

Good to hear the new business is humming along. I love the buzz and dealing with customers but the paperwork gets me down no

That's an impressive list of work to be done wink

Just a word of caution on the LED indicators. I have a pair of Zeta handguards with built in LED indicators on my WRR and had to buy in some unsightly resistors from China (eBay purchase) to get the flash rate correct cry

The shelves are fully stocked and we are ready for an order biggrinbiggrin

Brian

LED Resistors for indicators
25w / 6ohm,

don't know where I got this info from but it apparently works.

What resistance did you end up using if you remember ?

Hi Steve, welcome back

A lot has happened since you have been gone, you have missed out on all the fun, lol. biggrin

In regards to the LED indicators, it is much easier to buy a flasher relay than mess around with Chinese resistors IMO. Of course, I will leave it up to you to choose which way you want to go about it. If you are interested in the easy way, see this thread for more info- http://ttr250.activeboard.com/t55749352/led-indicators-how-to-remove-and-replace-original-indicators/

Glad that you are still as in love with your TTR250 as you were a year ago and good to see you back on the forum. wink

Jarrah
