Hi all, only noticed this yesterday, rode round the garden with no helmet on and noticed a slight rattle on over run. Not noticeable with helmet on, and when you start from cold it's fine, but rev it when warm and there's slight ticking/slight rattle right at bottom of rev range. Any idea's guys, not t...
Thought I’d share a couple of pics of last weekends ride with the NTRF . 4 river crossings and I had an off mid crossing . Luckily stalled it as I fell and exhaust did not submerge . Lifted bike to check but all good 🤘
I rode a 2006 TTR and really enjoyed it. I have a chance to buy one local now and it's a 1999. I'm in the US. Is there major model year differences between the 1999 and the 2006 in the USA?
Hi there, used the oil cooler from the UK to Nepal, worked fine, have everything including banking bolt to fit and increase that oil capacity. £140 one plus postage -- Edited by dlee22 on Sunday 3rd of March 2019 06:27:10 PM-- Edited by dlee22 on Monday 18th of March 2019 09:42:29 PM
I fitted a new chain and sprockets from the guys at Totally TTRs 6'ish months ago, fair bit of green landing done since. Chain seems to be wearing on something, any pointers please? The remaining links also show signs of wear, but not as bad as the link split pin.
just took the TTR for a spin. Stopped it, started again and it’s making just a single click noise. Battery is fully charged video: https://vimeo.com/324290036

Alright, I admit it, I'm weird! I've been reading a lot about people stuffing the Honda CB500 twin into the CRF250L frame and I want to do a Yam version, so despite this being a TTR forum, I'm hoping someone might have wider knowledge of donor bikes (UK only!!) I'm after a steel frame WR250f/450f rolling...

With the current interest in big bore kits that require the crankcases to be stripped for boring to take oversize sleeves I thought this would be a good time to create a pictorial guide to include a full strip down and rebuild. I am hopeful that the 350cc big bore kit will prove successful and, if it is, th...
Hey There! I'm in a hunt for wheels to my OE, but I can't find any. I was thinking maybe the XT225 wheels would fit to the TTR as well. Has anyone tried this?
Typical - you have just rebuilt your engine, torqued down the head and you are just fitting the camshafts when you strip a thread on a cam cap Sadly there is no way to do a repair that I can see without taking the head off again Anyways up, this is a rough "how to". Quite a few of my photos were unusable and, t...
I used the seat for UK to Nepal last summer. I had the seat reworked by a motorbike upholsterer as I am told a comfy seats the most important thing on a long distance trip. The sponge was replaced to an unknown degree with new foam rather than gel inserts, the company advised me they moved away from gel p...
Hi guys, hope someone can help, my ttr keeps blowing the 15amp fuse on top of the battery box, which then kills the engine. Change the fuse, bike starts, will do 100m, and fuse blows. Will tick over great, but soon as a bit of load.....fuse blows. Any idea's please? Thanks in advance, Steve.
Hi there, The old man's ttr cuts out going through deep puddles. It splutters and dies but give it a few minutes it sorts itself out and starts, I'm not sure of the state of the breathers really but it started without hesitation after the jet wash, must be stupid, maybe electrical connection somewhere...

I've got for sale a rack I brought off of Simon from this forum for my trip to Nepal. The rack is solid, not too heavy, and not massively big. Its never let me down. It's in very good condition the only issue is where some off the powder coating got rubbed off by my bags. As Simon had it fitted to his bluey it we...
Im due to change out the drive shaft seal and gear selector seal tomorrow. I have spares that came with a bike, all appear good. Is there anything I should be particularly wary of or are there any "pro" tips I should employ!- I saw Brian had advised someone on this before- possibly using 2 seals fro the dri...
