Bike cuts out in water

Hi there,

The old man's ttr cuts out going through deep puddles. It splutters and dies but give it a few minutes it sorts itself out and starts, I'm not sure of the state of the breathers really but it started without hesitation after the jet wash, must be stupid, maybe electrical connection somewhere, any suggestions? Cheers

Check the one-way valves on the breather/drain pipes are working and water isn't being allowed to be sucked up either of them.

Thanks! Just fitted one, I think one was enough on my own ttr.

Sounds more electrical to me Dan. If it was watery fuel why does it start again after standing for a while? Shorting kickstand switch/neutral switch/clutch switch or connectors? Cracked plug cap?
Good luck. Nothing worse than an intermittent fault!
Simon.
