Hi all, Dan here from Perth, Australia (originally from Kent, UK). Just got my TTR250 yesterday and it's my first bike other than a few rides of an old DT175 years ago and needed something to keep up with my 5 year old on his PW50 and have a bit of fun on. Looking to mainly ensure I keep the bike in really good c...
Hey all, ive just rebuilt my 2000 model ttr250 Top to Bottom (new carb intake boot included) I’ve cleaned the carb as upon intial ride after the rebuild there was a flat spot under load which turned out to be a blocked leak jet for the AP pump, now all is running well with the exception of it surging when he...
Just bought a blue TTR250 and have been reading reviews and various posts here in the run up to the purchase which has proven to be very useful and interesting. Still finding my way around the bike, but apart from a loud aftermarket pipe i am very impressed and looking forward to riding it. Have a questio...

Hi all, I did search the forums but could only find info on frame paint. I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for fork tube silver paint in aerosol form? Is there some type that better than others at taking the knocks and socks from stones etc? Polyurethane Vs acrylic? Is one better? Cheer...
Very interested to hear if anyone has owned more than one type of TTR250 . There are 3 of course raid/open/blue .I am interested to hear any opinions comparing one to the other or ride outs with more than one model...I know the difference in spec but experience is worth a thousand specifications (somet...
From what I've read on here, I have had a common problem as the speedo magnet broke into three. Luckily it didn't eat through the pickup sensor. I cleaned it up and glued the broken pieces back in and for added security put heat shrink over the top. With the heat shrink on there is a tighter fit in the casing...
I am currently running a modified (by previous owner) stock exhaust on my TTR 250. I'm happy with the performance and sound but it is on it's last legs. BTW I believe the modification removed some of the internal baffling to make it more free flowing. Recently I purchased an after market exhaust to repl...
No idea if this has been posted before or if anyone's seen it - if not, it's worth 4 minutes of your time to give you a giggle: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NpsqlbTuqAc
Hi, would one of these Polisport MMX Universal Headlight be easy(ish) to fit to my Raid or would the clocks get in the way, or wiring be a pain to sort out? I am not too worried about it not being as bright as the original round one that's on it now, but just think it will be less prone to damage when I ine...
Out for a very nice if slippery run on Sunday. A lot of rain previously meant our loverly chalk base was coming through the mud at times although the only tumble I had was of course mid puddle. Good to be out although my bike was involved in a near fatal stabbing which Salisbury police are aware of [url=...

Hello fellow TTR enthusiasts! I randomly bought a TTR250 for my wife in 2012. She immediately hated it and I should have known better - it's too tall for her first bike, my fault completely. It was used very little before I bought it and I rode it for maybe 10 minutes when I brought it home. I have stored it i...
So, I don't believe that any TTR250s sold in the US had a kick start. I would like to convert mine to dual start using OEM parts and I imagine the bits needed were likely used on other machines available in the US. Does anyone have information on this subject to share before I go digging? Maybe point to a thr...

Hi Everyone. This is my first post although I've been her a while now. I have a question. Is it possible to fit the OE Yamaha oil cooler when the bike is fitted with an Acerbic tank? The bike is a 2003 Blue model. -- Edited by wilbjr21 on Sunday 10th of February 2019 03:11:13 PM
