Left the bike in the shed and changed the fork oil

The old oil had been in 2years and was pretty nasty I've replaced  it with synthetic fork oil(on special in local store this week)  so looking forward to trying it out in the morning  .

Its one of those jobs that I put off bit is easy and doesn't take long

Just a quick oil change

Forks out springs out tipped oil out  flushed with some brake cleaner drained well and sat in the sun while I had lunch for the cleaner to fully evaporate

Then refilled and installed

With oil

7.5w 100mm from the top with springs out set at 13 clicks out (raising the oil level takes the dive out of the forks with out stiffer springs tip from a suspension guy I know that used to do the shocks for the thumper Nats )

A bit short of 600ml each side

It's a bugger as oil comes in 1liter bottles so need a couple

Defiantly stops the dive without adding air or changing springs stopped a lot of the tendency the ttr has of making you slip to front of the seat (13 clicks out keeps the forks working high in their stroke
