Is anyone aware of a simple speedometer option for the TTR? Really only wanting speed...analog would be fine in order to keep it simple (both to use and to install, as I'm not especially mechanically-talented!). Thanks!
Hi All, New to the forum.. hope you're all well. I recently picked up a 2006 TTR250. It was not running but I've managed to get her going. There's a strange problem that I can't work out. When I start it cold, with the choke on she runs quickly to high revs then settles down to lower RPM after a few seconds. ...
I had a conversation with a friends a couple of years ago, "Maybe I should be looking for a TTR250, or similar..." Phil said, "I've got one of those. You can have it. If you don't, I'm taking it to the tip." So a few days later I added an 02 TTR to my collection. Bit of a Yamaha tragic with a separate love for...
Hello all, my 1999 250 TTR Enduro is brilliant and love it only used to go to the shops on dry days.only 8800kms. Reading posts on this page it appears that to hear a clunk when the engine is turned of is a sign that a sprag clutch is on its way out. My bike starts and runs fine. Do I have a problem???? My only s...
When putting my bike back together I found my clamp on the air filter side of the carby wasn't clamping tight enough. To keep the original clamp I cut a cable tie (flat end ) so it was a neat fit around the tube then put the clamp back on over the cut down tie end Result was a good tight clamp again -- Edited...

Sorry to post an advert on here, but it has taken me ages to get brake discs sorted out! I got fed up with a bad supply chain from other suppliers and went in search of brake disc manufactures. Dealing with EBC was impossible and then one of my customers (thanks whoever it was!) told me about ABE in London. I...

My first trail ride on a Supermoto and my third time ever trail riding (first two times on a DT125 that I already sold). Fun but exhausting. :D -- Edited by purdoy25 on Thursday 15th of March 2018 11:39:21 AM

Hey, Anyone know how to disconnect the front brake light connector from the master cylinder mount? I've pulled back the rubber to reveal some kind of plastic that looks like it encapsulates the spade connectors.. was getting dark so didn't get a chance to faff about trying to get it off but there didn'...
Hi there, I've ridden my ttr from the UK to Nepal and will be shipping it to Brisbane for the 16th October. I do have some plans eg scubba diving and meeting friends but it'd be nice too meet up with some people for a ride 😁 I'm also very tempted to go to Tasmania! Nothing too hairy mind, mines loaded and onl...
I found a great tip from Lin on an old thread of his which is to get yourself a Pentel White 100WM marker pen. About £4 inc p&p from eBay. An example here. Marking some parts before disassembly can be very helpful come the rebuild. The ink will survive extremely well and is resistant to oil and grease...
You tube dropped the slideshow option, but I installed Video Pad & it has a trial slideshow program, testing it out with a few photos from our VHC trip this year Terry
After numerous 100 mile day trips on my recently rehabbed TTR250, the time had come to pile on the camping gear and take a week to head out on dirt roads and loop out and back from my home in Missoula Montana USA. The BLUE LINE on the maps approximates the trip through South West Montana. The goal was rid...

last Sunday was the DGR, this takes place on the same day around the world, last year I rode the Thruxton so this year I took the Scrambler, we had around 450 bikes, it's worth going just to see the bikes. I finished the prep on the WR250R today, we are off to the Flinders ranges in two weeks, when I was out last Monday I got a flat in the rear, brand new MT21 tyre & heavy duty tube , rode back 30kms on a flat. Tuesday morning I stripped the tyre & had a look, seemed ok, fitted a new tube & gave it a run &...
Hello All I am looking for a stock dog bone for the rear suspension. My bike has been lowered by the previous owner with a kouba ttr3 2” drop link. I am willing to trade the Kouba model for a stock dog bone or please let me know if anyone has one kicking arounding their garage/ workshop. Thanks
Google Translate- Good morning. I want to unscrew the oil filter cover and here is the poverty. 1 Allen screw is round inside. The second one is for a screwdriver and the thread in the motor is broken. A bit of a problem. What advice is there? What dimensions do the original screws have?I advised mysel...
This information got buried in another thread so I have given it a thread of its own and hope it will be useful to owners. As usual, let me know if you spot any flaws in it please Crankcase:NB The crankcase bolts fitted to the later blue TTR models are slightly different to the earlier metal-tanked model...
Hello everyone. I do enjoy off-road driving and I'm willing to try trail bikes since I got a spare time to do so. Right now, all we have is a Yamaha YZ250. I'm planning to sell one of my trucks so that I could afford a more proper bike. Glad I found this community! - Wayne
After a long break, I finally got back on the TTR for a trail ride - after some encouragement from my good mate Jim who set the date and tried to rally the troops I wasn't sure how it would be as it wasn't long ago that I had a "medical episode" resulting in having a couple of stents fitted. So I planned the rou...
