Hi guys

 

after a new speedo cable and caant get one on flea bay, where do you suggest? Are there any other bikes the same from that era??

Hi Steve

I am not aware that anyone offers an after-market cable so you are stuck with the genuine Yamaha part - see http://www.ronayers.com/ProductDetails/N/687/SKU/803384

As far as I can see it doesn't fit any other bike. MotoWard or Fowlers will supply on mail order else save the p&p and pick it up from your local bike shop. 

It is unusual for the cable to break. Have you checked the three-tab washer in the drive on the front hub? That is the usual culprit.

Hi mate

 

I had the same on my old DRZ it had seized so broke cables, I will have a look beofre putting new one on, thanks for info. At least the bike still rides.....

 

Looking forward to doing a few mods on it as it has a FMF Q4 full systerm but not sure if ssnorkel removed or its been re jetted.

I replaced mine when the inner broke after 17 days of ownership. cry

I got a replacement DT125LC cable that fits the TTR from Yambits at Boroughbridge and it cost £8.00 in total (Sept 2010). smile

i ordered the DT125LC MK3 (Disc cable) and it fitted fine its little shorter than the ttr one (assuming my old one was genuine) but fits and works fine.
