Happy to be a part of the community here. I spent the last several months lurking but decided to take the plunge and become a member. I am a woods rider enjoying a patch of family farm land in Illinois.
My standard Open Enduro headlight was a crap 35w, it got broken last Sunday when i was at Drumclog, stone straight through it, no matter, i had won a Raid headlight bracket the week before on Ebay, I fitted it a few nights ago along with a generic 8" glass headlight, 60/55w, its a huge improvement on ligh...
Thought on this fine day I would swap the TTR back onto D606 tyres....I had this set on the TTR a while back, nothing worse than fitting used D606's they are are hard as bloody rock. Not a lot of fun but it's done now, might put rego on the TTR later this month & take her out again
A glorious day here today and I was lucky to have previously arranged a short trail ride with my mate Jim. First time on the lanes for both of us since last Autumn. We covered only 45 miles but, within that distance, we rode 44 lanes. Some very short but that's a lot of different lanes however you look at it....

Just finished off a few service, cleaning and maintenance jobs in readiness for hopefully a better year than the last one. I have owned it f...
This is my Raid restoration project that has kept me busy in the evenings and weekends for the last year. The work is now finished, the bike looks good and is running well after some adjustments. I will do separate posts for the different stages of the restoration.I bought this bike in July 2019 here in A...
Hello all, this is my first post on the site. A few years ago when I got into dirtbiking I bought a ttr250 as my first full sized bike (from a crf230). After a few months of riding I sold it and moved on to other bikes. I have since had about 30 different bikes and lately was looking for a full sized air cooled bi...
Hi Gents I know this is a 250 forum, but before my 230 got destroyed I did a 4 day trip on it December last year. May I post it here? I don't want to offend the hard core 250 lads on here! Thanks

Hi guys, I bit the bullet and picked up a 2000 TTR-250. Was riding it fine up until yesterday. It started bogging when I tried to go full throttle. Then it stayed reving higher than normal at fully closed throttle. Done is done and she's mine now. Now it starts up but only stays running when I apply t...

Hi Everyone, Tearing into my new to me TTR project - my first one - bought it not running. Is it possible to confirm the engine year from the serial number stamping? My bike is a 2003 (build date 06/2002, 10th digit '3') - looks like maybe the engine has been apart - the piston is missing and the connecting r...

New member, first time posting... I've been a quad rider for a little while now (Suzuki KingQuad 400) but wanted a 2-wheeler for better access to some areas on our farm property not suited to a quad (slopes, narrow bush tracks). Apart from the quad, I had only previously ridden road bikes, so I wanted so...
Well here she is!! The new girl finally arrived today and I’m very happy. She’s a 2011 model and has just under 12,5000 kilometres which is not much for a ten year old bike. She’s in good nick too as you can see by the pics, and the guy who sold it to me obviously looked after it. It's got the usual scratche...
Took the pup for a 6.5kms walk this morning, nice sunny 28c day. After I got back I took the WRR out to Trial hill in the Barossa valley, there was a bushfire a couple of weeks ago starting from the look out...lucky it was only stubble (short dry grass) Anyhow a few photos Cheers Terry
