My 05 ttr 250 makes an awful clunking noise when it cranks and often repeats it when I shut it off. Anyone have this happen before that can tell me what to replace?

I have just started to run 95RON as apposed to 91RON Unleaded in my 97OE, the bike certainly runs better and cleaner i.e. no soot, but has been difficult to start electrically when cold. I don't have a hope in hell of kick starting it. Could this be the fuel or has something else eventuated?
