I am having trouble with acquiring a ''new'' side gaurd for my blue 1999 TTR-250LC (blue gaurds) Any model from 1999-20012 will be right but i cannot seem to find anywhere to buy it I have acquired all my other OEM parts from www.powersportsplus.com & www.boats.net but they do not have the side gaurd available I have done hours of seaching online & checked all the online sites i know (quite a few) but still coming up empty handed
I'm hoping someone on here can help but it's a long shot
I already have a delay waiting for parts to be delivered but this may make things a little more tricky
The part number is below
# 4GY-21711-30-00 COVER, SIDE 1

My own: Your never too young to learn an old trick! :)
The first Two letters eg.. YP- has nothing to do with the actual part number. It is merely a reference for the website it is listed on.
The 4GY- stands for what model it was first fitted to.
The next five numbers eg: 21711- are the most important as these are the part fitment numbers eg: cylinders, displacement, ect
The next two numbers eg:30- will represent how many changes were made to the part. This change will not effect the fitment of the part but merely show whether it has been ''supersuaded'' (i think the name for it is but can't think of it :). In other words the part replaces the original part.
The last two numbers eg: 00 is the colour of the part (if applicable)
So yes i am sure it's the right part Edited : ''my bad'' it's #4GY-Y2171-H0 (I think as i copied & pasted that # too )

At a second look at the part number it is for the white ttr's which would fit but is obviously not available & white :). Not that it matters much as as both the side covers n1 white & blue are now unavailable.
It was my last resort eg www.speedsupplies.com (or whateva it is lol) & must have copied the wrong part in but anyways.. (note to self: ''look before you leap'' or copy & paste:)
On my order it does say...
Note: Cancelled not available for quantity 01 so maybe it is available in large quantities still???
I will be buying it off Brian once i know what else i will need so glad it's sorted now.
