Hello, I have just installed the petrol tap/ petc0ck rebuild kit to find that the tap is now incredibly difficult to turn. I can just about move it with my fingers and it's easier with pliers. Should I have used some sort of grease on the new rubber seal I installed? Or will it get a bit easier with use? Th...
Finally took my 06 ttr to a mechanic, i am going thru just brake light filiments, not running lights. He thinks it could be vibrations of riding at highway speeds. i am sick of changing bulbs every couple of weeks. I am thinking about upgrading to an acerbis xled tailight or the drc moto led inner kit. ...
I had an email from Robin Webb of Salt and Gold DVD fame. He is delighted with a new expandable tail pack he has found which sits inside the standard Yamaha rear rack with the struts removed. Available here
I had a few guards spare that had seen better days. I straightened them out as best I could, bead blasted them to get rid of old paint and rust, and sprayed them in silver metallic. They include a new stainless steel bolt/washer set as shown in the pic and are £12 each plus p&p. New ones are over £57 Not...

Hello folks, I came across a yamaha workshop manual recently and noted the main jet size is listed as 137, mine has a 147 and an FMF powercore pipe, does this sound correct as I am diagnosing a dying issue after a short "coshing", starts again easily with a little choke (weak), the pilot scre...

Hey guys, I only ride on dirt (no need to take road riding into the decision making process) and run Heavy duty tubes 18-20 psi on trails with lots of sharp broken rocks. Hi there, have just registered to the site. I have an 04 blue TTR250 in my garage that I purchased new from Mark Seward Racing motorcycles in Cornwall (where I live). It has only done just over 2000 miles (or is it k/ms). Most of it's use was off road on local trails and the odd road trial. It was last taxed an...
Does anybody know if the rear wheel complete with sprocket and brake disc from the older ttr's (purple rim) are compatible with the newer ttr's (2004). Many thanks. Mark.
Getting the bikes ready for a run out yesterday - outnumbered the WR by 4 to 1! Can only claim ownership of the front two TTR's. Nice 4 hours and 50 miles in the sunshine of Provence. Will remember to take my camera out one of these days and post some pics of our playground. Dave
