UPS picked up a parcel from us in Exeter on Wednesday afternoon and it was delivered to the customer in Malta the following afternoon!
USPS are notoriously slow in my opinion. I paid extra for an Express service for a parcel that was collected by them in the US on 19th February and didn't arrive in the UK until 27th Feb and it's still stuck in Customs ....
A recent Airmail parcel we sent got to Wagga in Australia in 7 days which I think is pretty good especially as the customer said it sometimes takes 10+ days for mail to get to him from Sydney!
Sydney to Wagga is only 6 hours, I'd be having a real good complain about that one as well, I'd write to the papers and TV chanels
Country services do suck though, there was a race between an email and a carrier pigeon here once from sydney to the country somewhere, unfortunately the pigeon won
My parcel from the states is coming via USPS, that's the US postal service, not UPS (United Parcel Service)
Apparently the USPS does a good job but they don't actually make any money
UPS is a corporation so they will cut services if it's not profitable enough
I think that is right anyway
I do remember the last thing I got from you turned up in a very short time, I think less than a week I think

The USPS service seems to be going downhill. I paid extra on my last US order for "Express" yet the parcel took 5 days to get moving after their initial collection
It doesn't help that, in the UK, any parcel declared to be worth more than £18 gets held up by Customs for another 5 days
I think both Royal Airmail and USPS are ''hit and miss'' when it comes down to it.
Royal Airmail
I have been waiting on fork gaiters since the 10/03/14 and Viton sprocket seal since the 17/03/14. Not sure if they are in Australia yet?
USPS
Brake actuator bought 18/03/14, arrived in Australia 21/03/14, voltage regulator bought 19/03/14 arrived in Australia the 25/03/14. Both not delivered yet.
To be fair, Australia Post can take up to 7 days just to get it from one side of Australia to the other.
USPS has been the best so far, on the other hand, I remember buying items from Brian and receiving them in just over a week? How does he do it?

Glad someone is having a win with UPS. So far it has been the worst service by far. There is no tracking, just electronic shipping info (pretty useless). A package is already four days late comparing to USPS and I have no idea where it is.
