I have always liked the KTM 640 ADVENTURE but the lack of engine and electrical system reliability made me have second thoughts. Two months ago, when a TTR 250 Raid came to my hands I decided to make this modification. I bought from a friend a tank, lights, fairing and seat from a not working KTM and after...

Hello peeps, I have a blue tank TTR 250 which I use for green laning with the Herts TRF. The green laning trips are about 70-80% road, 20-30% trails, with the trails a mix of gravel and muddy ruts. I currently have a Mitas C19 on the front and C02 on the back. I'm really struggling with the front tyre grip o...
I had an email from an owner with an interesting approach to replacing fork seals - see below:"I have just been busy fitting fork seals. You may not approve of my technique but I very simply remove the dust seal/fork seal retaining clip and attach a mini air compressor to the top valve. 200psi push...
Hi all. After years and years (and years) of motorbiking and fiddling around with same, I find I'm still a noob. Some while ago, at about 70,000 km I replaced all the linkage bearings. When all is said and done, I eventually replaced the shock, as it was badly worn, and the suspension appeared not to be g...

This is an extract from my project bike thread so it may read a little odd in places. I thought it might be useful to start a new thread for this job as the original post will get lost in time. The first bolt attaching the linkage (or relay) arm to the frame is usually well stuck in. The main bolt's LH head (on o...
