I have seen a few ttr supermotos around and pics of them and all had spoked wheels and can't find one or mention of one with cast wheels does anybod know of one that uses cast wheel or am I only one
Nothing is standard on front end mate it's 97 yz250 usd forks straight bolt on same bearings and steering lock, just steering tube is longer so needs a cone making up for yokes as sits higer but all the better for it as raises bars to right height, the wheel is off a fzr600 milled down on disc side to fit as tight clearances and caliper is off a aprillia svx450 race supermoto with a one off caliper bracket to fit as there a radial mount caliper.
The ttr standard caliper with sintered pads and steel braided hoses is good enough I'd say for a trial bike that aprillia caliper is overkill as a radial 4 piston caliper and meant to be good
Most likely change lines too there meant to be changed every 4 years and worth getting braided lines, sintered pads, good clean of caliper and pistons. Front brake is perfectly cabaple on ttr.
Just picked up new head for my ttr250 sm project I enjoy alot of night around Derbyshire and picked this up locally and very hard to come by a Baja Design Soltek light with additional yellow lens.
Bought it off a bloke on fb just out of luck really been wanting one for years and Chinese knock offs wouldn't do, he got it a friend who had it fitted to a Honda xr650 got bike transported to Spain couldn't kick start bike and shipped it back in tantrum.
Will look different it's only got two wires so guess wire it up to main beam using a block connector on correct wires, easy to swap head light for mot don't need to chop loom.
Swapping head light after mot an mot only means bike is legal during that test period.
It's easy to swap mainly when do a night ride use rubber straps on other head light with intregated indicators, oddly my rear ones work as normal when front are disconnected so look legit and swap back for day time
Just had to say bike is stripped down engine out of frame bugger me for a 250 single its a hefty engine, my friend had delugged the frame and needs abit of welding too a small hole near foot peg, one foot ped mount bent back and exhaust bracket snapped in half so needs welding, but excited getting to this point even though there's load to do.
:D
