hey men, you may care to google SPECO THOMAS 2015 catalogue and look up the new 520-10 tacho which is supposed to be suitable for a single cylinder 4 stroke. I bought the older model, which wasn't, back in may this year and had to send it back for a refund. I know they will fit on the handle bars because I tried the old one before it went back to the supplier in Sydney. I paid AUST$ 227 for the one I bought online from a company called 999 RACING. kurtwen@gmail.com is the email address. I have just sent a message to them to see if they can supply the new model. I don't know for certain if the tacho can be wired into the TTR250 harness but I assume a auto electrician could get it to run. anyway i'm going to buy one and give it a go. it will be interesting to see what R.P.M i'm pulling through the gears.

I thought I better just make it perfectly clear to anybody wanting to order the SPECO 520-10 tacho to ensure whomever you order it from sends you the 2015 model which is fitted with a cylinder selector. the old model which is almost identical in appearance did not have this feature and WILL NOT WORK on a single cylinder machine. get the supplier to confirm in writing that what they are sending you does have the selector switch fitted or email SPECO THOMAS for details. also to make fitting easier in between the bar clamps I would suggest you order a set of 6mm bar spacers off this site or you might have to loosen the bars to get the clamp[ which comes with rubber clamp liners for various diameter bars] around the bar. I have not ordered mine yet because 999 racing said SPECO in Melbourne Australia had shut down for xmas/new years. merry xmas everyone.

for anybody who was thinking about buying one of these tachos, they are still not available from SPECO THOMAS in MELBOURNE. the sales rep I have been dealing with at SPECO claims not to know anything about the cylinder selection switch which the companies own website has instructions for. somebody is giving me the runaround on this i'm afraid. I will keep you posted, wait out.
