Could anyone provide the correct size for the banjo bolt on the oil feed pipe the one closest to the oil filter housing on clutch cover length pitch etc many thanks.
Due to my standard exhaust deciding to fall to bits I have bought a CRD from Riverside. Will I need to do anything to the carbs, total novice with these tbh. At present the bike bogs down at low revs but is fine at higher rpm. Cheers from John
A bit about myself. Been riding all my life and im on the good side of 50, i ride a Yamaha xt660 Tenere and a Suzuki DL 650 . The Tenere gets used for riding to and on trails while the DL 650 spends most of it's time on the road. I tend to get out riding quite a lot and the Tenere gets a lot more use than the DL, theres...

Hello all TTR fans out there, I have a small problem to solve... After going laneing the other week bike running fine, it is now stalling loads on tiny throttle moment, or on blip of throttle. Requires throttle to start when warm as well. However once running on opening throttle slowly it st...
cosmetically, the only damage that bugs me on my 06 ttr250 is that the front fender has some very noticeable deep scratches and wipe out grinds in it. Seeing as finding a new fender here in Canada isn't cheap for a new OEM one, I'm considering a cycra front fender. They're supposed to be made of good quali...
In Today's Saturday Telegraph is a report about a supposed "tiger" on the loose in the French village of Montévrain - near Disneyland Paris. There are a few photographs but one in particular caught my eye It appears that the French Plod (Gendarmes) use TTR250 trail bikes when th...

So I just bought a 2002 TTR250 and its leaking gas due to cracks. I can JB weld the tank but I am also looking for options on buying a new tank. Does the OEM XR650l tank fit the TTR250 or only the Acerbis ones? I do not want to spend too much on restoring this bike, so i am looking at used tanks and other options. ...
I recently hit a large rock with my bike and it went into my stator cover. There was a hole and it was broke bad. The only thing that saved me from this being a huge expense was the steel engine guard on it from the factory. That guard too a HUGE hit and crushed into the case. It took ALOT of energy and did a grea...
im so happy to have her back. Only had one issue. The threads stripped out of the case that hold the lower left chain guard on. It was very soft. Im hoping I can just go up a hair, maybe SAE and get it to bite. Its not lose right now but it will only get worse when I change the front sprocket. Thank you Brian and th...
How to lighten an Engine after years of fixing motors putting this one under the hacksaw an milling machine even with it being a cheap Honda clone motor just did not feel right. but the kid's get to see what's going on inside and they just don't get to play with this sort of thing at home like we did when we...
Limit was 50kph in the camping stretch of beach and 80kph elsewhere. Noosa Queensland. Well north noosa. Noosa is abit like Byron bay , beautifull beaches and headlands but packed with tourists all year round. Rangers patrol the beach for permits and also police As all road rules apply.
I usually ride a road bike, but when my brother broke his TTR250 and decided to sell it as a project I thought it would be a great opportunity to get into both engine and some trail riding one it was fixed. So, I finally managed to get the bike and engine (not together) back home and started on fixing the hea...
