My TTR got delivered this morning and i'm quite pleased with it considering i didn't view it (ebay sale & came from Aberdeenshire). It's not as good as in the ebay pics but i took this into account as it's normally the case. It has quite a few rusty fasteners and some rust on the frame around various we...
Just what i was looking for, a TTR250 forum with plenty info and folk with good knowledge. Iv'e more or less decided that it's a TTR that i want to get as a lightweight bike for local trails. So the hunt is on for the later blue model. Iv'e seen quite a few over the last month or so but now i want one there's not t...

I had my first try at spraying on plastics this evening and, apart from having bought the wrong colour, it turned out OK! Before: After: I had first scraped off some "dead" bits of white plastic from the headlight surround. I then rubbed it down in warm soapy water with 400 grit wet & dry...
Came with, but not fitted, to a newly acquired TTR. Looks to be made all in stainless steel with no dints or major scrapes, just light marks/scratches from being used and a little of the blue paint on the CRD badge is missing. There's a serial/model number on the hanger 'SIPOY25TT013' and it is also mark...
Hi EveryoneI’ve ordered myself a GYTR Slip on muffler for my 2013 TTR250.I was told by the guys in at Yamaha to just drop the height of the circlip down “one” in the carburettor. I’m just wondering if anyone has any information on whether we can move the circlip down one with it all still attached to t...
Finally got it muddy. First time off road, great fun, can't wait to do more. List of things needs doing... Need to rotate bars forward as I'm on top of them all the time when stood up, need to raise the ride height somehow, need to change the clutch cable and it sticks and need a new front tyre. Apart from tha...
Does my bike's ride height look normal? Could do with it being a bit higher but wondered what my starting point looked like to others before I wound the spring up a bit please. Thanks, Mark
How do yer think these would work on a bike..? only $59NZ..may have to narrow them up..horse is a littlewider than a TTRhttp://www.trademe.co.nz/sports/equestrian/other/photos/a-808976476/p-321042626.htm-- Edited by petenz on Saturday 22nd of November 2014 12:28:32 AM
Could anyone provide the correct size for the banjo bolt on the oil feed pipe the one closest to the oil filter housing on clutch cover length pitch etc many thanks.
Due to my standard exhaust deciding to fall to bits I have bought a CRD from Riverside. Will I need to do anything to the carbs, total novice with these tbh. At present the bike bogs down at low revs but is fine at higher rpm. Cheers from John
A bit about myself. Been riding all my life and im on the good side of 50, i ride a Yamaha xt660 Tenere and a Suzuki DL 650 . The Tenere gets used for riding to and on trails while the DL 650 spends most of it's time on the road. I tend to get out riding quite a lot and the Tenere gets a lot more use than the DL, theres...

The east coast of Australia is becoming harder to find bush to ride in. Hello all TTR fans out there, I have a small problem to solve... After going laneing the other week bike running fine, it is now stalling loads on tiny throttle moment, or on blip of throttle. Requires throttle to start when warm as well. However once running on opening throttle slowly it st...
cosmetically, the only damage that bugs me on my 06 ttr250 is that the front fender has some very noticeable deep scratches and wipe out grinds in it. Seeing as finding a new fender here in Canada isn't cheap for a new OEM one, I'm considering a cycra front fender. They're supposed to be made of good quali...
In Today's Saturday Telegraph is a report about a supposed "tiger" on the loose in the French village of Montévrain - near Disneyland Paris. There are a few photographs but one in particular caught my eye It appears that the French Plod (Gendarmes) use TTR250 trail bikes when th...
