Yo to all. I'm Giovanni, Happy to have found a place in which I can understand how to become independent to ride Africa with Koji, my Ttr Raid 250 bought in 2010 just before a trip to Namibia. It's what they call here a "grey import from japan", bought with km 20k and now we are at km 41k between N...
Is that a good area to find these green lanes I hear mentioned so often? If so, any ideas where one might rent a 250 for a few days? I believe I'm talking about Wales, not New South Wales. Possible trip that way with some time for exploring ...

A few years ago I made this excelent pair of thongs I thought I'd give you a run down on their performance they have proved excellent in all weather and excelling in the wet . Pretty good off road and on the sand Have provided protection against sharp objects in the shed however provide very little upper...
Notice the one link has a flat pin, like it was grinded down. This is not the master link, there is another one just like it, so there are atleast two pins like this. The chain feels and looks completely fine in every other aspect. thank you
I was walking in Glasgow City Centre today and just turned into Sauchiehall Street when I saw two police riders coming down the pedestrians only part. They were wearing blue and grey BMW textile suits on what looked very much like WR250's. I forgot to look at the plates to get the year. The bikes sounded...
I was contacted by an old riding buddy on Monday who had Wednesday off and was looking to get out on his bike after a long lay off. A quick email around some likely suspects and we had a band of 5 ready to roll: Tim and Mark G. (Goalkeeper on the forum) on TTR250s, Mark F. on DRZ400, Rik on KTM 240 and me on my TTR...
Hi all, I've been a watcher of this forum for some time, and learned a lot! Thank you all. I own a (almost new) Blue TTR250 2003 which has been parked home in Canada for too many years. I live abroad for work and ride a few bikes, and I find myself with too many bikes not enough time. Upgrading it in many ways...

hello Since I bought my bike 3 month ago I have the issue with grey smoke (not very much but still) while over 1/3 throttle and while deaccelerating after full throttel even more. In addition to that it is using a lot of oil about 200-300ml (not sure exactly) for 100km. Even making it lean doesn't help so...

Sorta the opposite of a "just joined" post, but I've sold my TTR and I'm onto bigger and better (well, faster) things. This site has been a great resource for me over the years and has helped me out of many jams when stuck working on the bike. I liked the ol' TTR and I know I'll miss the reliabilit...
i weigh 12 stone and ride mostly on road, is there a recommended suspension setting? if not what is the best method of achieving the perfect balance? i guess a special (shock) pump will be required for the front fork spring rate?
Like my AG200, it took ages to find a nice TTR250...but it looks like its gonna have to go...moving 1600kms and into the inner city means it wont be practical to keep. This is how it sits now...that DG is LOUD! T
Ok, so vice grips, torch, and every other technique did not work. Here is a pic of the aftermath, now the bottom stud hole broke on the bottom side is there any way to have this welded, drilled and tapped?
Hello, new member Watts here, just purchased my friends TTR off him after checking it out. Friends are great-you can trust what they tell you, and this friend (member here) took good care of the bike. On the test ride it struck me as very smooth, not much vibration, at high speeds my butt got buzzy, but so...
