Picked this up for the-over-half's newly acquired TTR, only to find - after a real good clean - that it already had a lowering link fitted....drrrrr! A few marks from being in use but bearings and grease nipple both A1 £65 + p&p
My tank has abit of play when straped to the frame. About half an inch or abit less. I would have thought its suppose to hold the tank more securely. The round rubber thats on the frame is in good nick. i can lift the rear of the tank when the straps on. Its as if the straps a tiny bit to long. Anyone else got move...
Hello everyone. Question is what are the dimension`s of starter`s o ring???? Mine is leaking oil a lot from there and need to replace it. Problem is that i live in Finland and the bike is in Greece.. :) so i can`t measure it. I`m leaving on wednesday to Greece and going to fix my Raid again. So if anyone kn...
I am sorry to report that Andy "Fixer" Lander-Stow is suffering poor health and has given up trail riding and sold his TTR250. He has also closed his TTR250 shop and passed the parts over to me. Motad silencers here Rear shock top bearing kits here 2-bolt chain guide protector blocks here An...
See here I recently bought a job lot of new spares from an ex-TTR owner who is sadly having to give up trail riding for health reasons It was quite an unusual assortment of parts. Just go to the web page and scroll down through and you will see what I mean! Brian
Wow - what a difference! I looked at the new national TRF (Trail Riders Fellowship) web pages here for the first time in ages and what a nice surprise. They are a vast improvement over the old version. Well done to the TRF webmeister Two nice TTRs on one of the photos here Brian
So, ive picked up a blown up 2001 TTR250 from forum member scott and its a perfect candidate for a rebuild and to replace my troublesome 94 model. This wont be a quick build up as the usual family / work and financial pressures get in the way, more so it will be a bit spasmodic. Plans at this stage include: re...

Any imfo would be great. WR tail pipe has to be lighter. Maybe less restrication. As soon as i get it i will post the weight of it. local muffler shop will modifiy mounts or anything needed.
Not sure what they are called, the rubber bushes that you clip the plastic side panels into are falling to bits on my OE, had a look on Brian's site but didn't see them. One of the panels is moving about quite a bit so have used some tape as a bodge, don't want the clip to break off. Any help would be appreciate...
Hello all, just looking to do a bit more dress-up for the bike now that she is running like a dream. Does anyone know of a source that supplies billet timing plugs preferably the color blue anodized. I haven't thought of measuring them myself, is there a changeover between some of the YZ__F models?
I've looked through all the posts but can't find an answer. Sometimes the bike ran well then it just cuts out. Tbh it is a lot worse since the new pipe went on, as I'm not sure about carbs I don't know where to start. It also sounds like it's blowing back through the carb at times if that makes sense. Any help w...
I stripped out a kickstart mechanism a long time ago that had damaged splines. The parts are all together waiting for a miracle "cure" and it was a miracle I found the tub of parts!I know we have some engineers on the forum and would be grateful for some advice on whether the splines might be re...
Here's my TTR250. I got the new GYTR exhaust yesterday, bolted it all up, sounds wicked, and goes way better then stock. We didn't have to touch the circlip in the carb "at this stage" Its just on 12months old, and only done 680km - I only trail ride. Its got a new set of X-Tech handle bars, so...
i have a 2003 ttr125l it smokes and i know it needs new piston and rings but i dont want to just make it back to normal. i am curious to if a ttr 250 jug and piston will fit the 125 bottom end if anyone has any info on these please let me know
Well I suppose it is common for those who are as bad at trail riding as me. When I eventually get up and heave the bike up it can take some cranking to get it started again. Once started it is fine till the next time I fall off!! Any suggestions to get the bike started quickly?
Hi all, I'm new here, from south west UK. Excuse the question straight away I'm picking up a TTR next week and need to get a chain (to go with garage wall anchor) before getting the bike as theft is pretty bad around here. Can anyone tell me if they currently use a 19mm thick chain through the frame? Or wo...
After several hours of beach riding and the header pipe never cleaned since new i thought i try and tart it up abit. Started with 400 wet n dry then 600 wet n dry sand paper. metal polish helps it even more. This header will come of every 6--12 months now to give it a touch up. That way it may also help to keep he...
Im after one of these badges from a ttr 250 tailipe. Looks like they are rivited on. Ive emailed a few dealers with no Luck as yet. australian dealers maybe better for me. Thnx.
but not got a clue as to what to get. Upon giving the chain a good clean I found some of the links have seized. I am pretty sure i have the standard set. I use the bike for commuting and for green lanes. Around Surrey it is fairly hilly. but I do not know. what is the standard sprockets and chain?
My TTR 250 only got delivered today and i'm already thinking of getting the frame powder coated. It has quite a few bits of rust around welds and the subframe has rust under the rear fender. This goes against my OCD i hate rust and think there's a bit to much to sort out with spray cans. I'd also have to remo...
