I have invented the Soft Rack. No longer does a hard rack need to be fitted to a TTR250 to carry your gear. This saves a lot of weight and your subframe will be happier! Everything is available through my website. Learn more here http://www.greenchileadv.com/video I ship same day on most orders and I h...
My son just purchased a 1994 TTR250 Raid 1994 model. The bike is in pretty good nick, but the fuel tank is rusted out due to long term storage & water impregnated fuel. We live in outback Australia, so all purchases are internet based. I need to know if there are any plastic tanks available for this mo...

What do you use to lube a dryed out chain on the trail?? Riding through puddles can dry out a chain pretty quickly, so can dust. I use one of these refilled with either chainsaw oil or gear oil to bring the price down, the bottle is small(120ml)not too bulky for the rucksack, and has a handy applicator on to...
Chaps, anyone got a back wheel for an 04. I'm of the understanding they are different from the earlier ones? Just the wheel will do, no sprok/disc/tyre needed but would take the lot if the price was ok. I'm getting a rebuild quote later today but I'm trying to get out next week and could do with one asap. ...
I am looking to sell my TTR RAID This is on an age related L plate which would make it a 72 Unknown mileage No speedo but has a micro GPS sppedo/logger (IGotU pro) hook up to your PC and it'll plot your track on a map. Also has a pilot light. Cycles up quickly too Has the an occasional sprag clunk on stopping but...
Just been to my suspension guru John Gaskell at Revs Racing to have the WP usd forks rebuilt on a project CCM664 of mine and we were discussing pros and cons of usd vs conventional forks. He's of the opinion that Yamaha's conventional forks are as good in every way as the usds but would be improved by the...
Hello from a new member with an old bike. 1994 model. It only comes out of the shed about one or twice a month, mainly around our 5 acre backyard or up the nearby fire trails where it is fantastic. It has full road rego but I don't commute on it. It has only 8000k's on the clock. I have had it for about 5 years. M...

Hi Guys OK got to 1993 OE not sure mileage as Im pretty sure the 660km on the speedo is wrong. When cold, if I stick the choke on and try to start the bike, it will fire up then die, now Ive found the way to start it is to keep choke off and twist the throttle a few times to pump some fuel in, do this half a dozen times...
We sometimes get asked by Raid owners about parts on their TTRs that may not be standard. Just found this pic to show what was on offer as extras. 1st pic is the front disc and fork guards. 2nd pic is a plastic rear disc guard. 3rd pic is the kickstart lever and mechanism. 4th pic is the oil cooler option. 5th...
Hi guys, I just purchased an 04 Ttr250. It hasn't been started for 9 months. When I brought it home thought it might be something simple but it won't start. It it started for a couple seconds once and the died. I have had no luck since. I changed the spark plug, put fresh fuel in, flushed a bit of the old fue...

I got it 'cos me and a friend decided to do a little green laning around Derbyshire, on a budget. He set the budget at £830, by going and getti...
