How do the different brands differ ? Standard Yamaha filter, Twin Air, Hi Flow etc .

Do some brands have better filtration and airflow ?

I have the Hi Flow in mine   http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Yamaha-TTR250-2000-to-2006-Hiflofiltro-Air-Filter-HFF4018-/281564045398?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts_13&hash=item418e866056

Most of the aftermarket air filters utilise the same construction, a open density foam on the outside with a more fine inner core. The thing is in my mind the standard filter will flow more than enough air to give you all the horsepower the engine has to give.

you know it's been so wet in the mountains for months now that there's hardly any dust around, and I rarely have to clean it

I do use a twin air though, seems to do the job well enough, cost $24 dollars though I think
