I fancy this rack because it doesn't jut out anywhere so doesn't need to be demounted for trail riding. And it is locally produced. I was looking on the website and I see it modelled on a TTR with no indicators. I use my bike fairly often on the road so I need my indicators. I do intend to change the blinker l...
The bike was standing for 18-months with fuel in, carb not drained. It would crank over but not run. So far I have done the following.. - Emptied old fuel in tank, filled up with a couple of litres of new fuel - Carb removed. Took apart from the float side only. Cleaned jets, diaphragm, bowl and float, an...
Had a little ride out with the dirty commuter today just the two of us on the Devon lanes close to Crediton for a pre dinner run I was trying a new setting on the headcam one pic every other second we did 14 lanes an Oly had a had his first taste of the lanes close to home on his TTR I was showing 45 miles round...
This company out of Kelowna BC makes this trailer for dual sports: http://www.trailtail.com/wordpress/specs/ Does the forum think a TTR 250 can tow this trailer loaded up? I would prefer it to rear rack etc (sprung vs unsprung weight, removable etc) One for sale here in BC for much less than new. Or,...
Well given todays weather, I had to go on another jaunt...... Off to Whaley Bridge for some petrol, then... Up Shallcross Road And along Long lane, both nice and easy, Shallcross more rocky and fun!! Then over to Doveholes, Up Bee Low, where we stopped to let a nice horsie pass, Then through the Quarry,...
I gave my brother Trev a hand to fit a twin USB power port on his TTR today. This is the unit: It was disappointing that the handlebar mount couldn't be used as there isn't room between the bars and the top yoke for the fitting. Suddenly a simple job becomes a bit of a challenge The only sensible solution I...
I have cover on a zephyr that runs out on june 30th. they want an astronomical ammount to add my ttr. I have a quote with no ncb for £83. can I run 2 policies for 2 bikes at the same time? I'm only using my ncb once.

Hi Chaps, Can anybody tell me the purpose of the little bolt, located on the front nearside (Gear change side) corner of the cylinder head just under the cam cover?? The thread has gone on mine and there is an oil leak from it, Can i re-tap and put a larger bolt in or does it serve some special purpose?? I ha...
Are the threads for the mirrors a non standard size?? I tried to use one of my mates mirrors and it would not fit, I have seen Yamaha Adaptors on ebay, some are to convert from left hand to right hand thread and some are for 8mm-10mm, I am unsure which ones to get, but think it is the left hand thread ones as the...
Hi Does anybody know the paint colour or code for the frame for 2005 model? Just stripped everything for a good clean and have an overwhelming urge to touch frame up!! Nothing bad just a few scuff marks etc Many Thanks Steve
I'm talking about the two bolts that secure the exhaust to the frame. The OEM bolt (with the horrible hex key head) is apparently 90109-082G0-00 but is marked as obsolete. So what are we suppose to use? The equivalent bolt on the WR250R 95024-10016-00 looks the same except with a normal hex head. Anyon...
Hi again, can anyone tell me what the red and black wire coming out of the speedo assembly is supposed to attach to? Mine has been cut, also it doesnt have a clutch switch. Could this be it? Cheers, Benny
A customer reported a problem with the first of a batch of header pipes recently made up. It fouled the frame down tube and wouldn't tighten up against the gasket in the exhaust port. I took the rest of the batch back to the fabricators this morning and they couldn't find a problem as they fitted their jig...
